Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, has released advertisement number NF (03)/Regular/2026 dated 03 May 2026 for direct recruitment to 40 Non-Faculty posts across Group A, B, and C levels. The Institute is seeking candidates from across India and especially encourages women candidates to apply for a balanced workforce. • Superintending Engineer: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering with first class + at least 5 years as Senior Executive Engineer (Pay Level 12) or 10 years as Executive Engineer (Pay Level 11) in Government/PSU/Universities
• Deputy Registrar: Master's degree with 55% marks + 5 years as Assistant Registrar in Pay Matrix Level 10 in Government/Universities
• Deputy Librarian: Master's in Library Science (55%) + Ph.D + 8 years as Assistant Librarian (Pay Level 10)
• Principal Technical Officer / Senior Technical Officer: B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc in relevant field + 5 years experience in Pay Level 11/10
• Assistant Executive Engineer: First class Bachelor's in Civil/Electrical Engineering + 5 years as Assistant Engineer in Pay Level 7

Group B Posts (Mid-Level Roles)

• Senior Superintendent: Master's degree (50% marks) + 5 years experience as Junior Superintendent (Pay Level 6)
• Library Superintendent: Master's in Library Science (55%) + 5 years experience
• Senior Technical Assistant: B.Tech/MCA/M.Tech/M.Sc (CS/IT) with first class + 5 years in Pay Level 6
• Physical Education Instructor: Bachelor's in Physical Education (55%) + 3 years experience
• Counsellor: Master's degree (50%) in Psychology or Social Work + 5 years counselling experience
• Nurse: Master's in Nursing OR First class B.Sc Nursing + registration with Indian/State Nursing Council + 5 years clinical experience in 50-bedded hospital
• Junior Engineer: First class B.E./B.Tech in Electrical/HVAC/Civil + 5 years OR Diploma + 8 years experience
• Junior Translator: Master's in Hindi/English with relevant subjects OR 2 years translation experience

Group C Posts (Entry/Support Roles)

• Pharmacist: Bachelor's in Pharmacy (55%) + Pharmacist registration under Pharmacy Act 1948 + 5 years experience in 50-bedded hospital
• Junior Technical Assistant: Bachelor's in Science/Technology/Engineering (55%) + 5 years lab experience
• Junior Office Assistant (MS): Bachelor's degree (50%) + computer proficiency in MS Office + 4 years office experience
• Attendant: Matriculation OR 3-year Diploma + 3 years relevant experience in lab/research/academic establishment

Age Limit

• Age limit varies by post: 32 years (Attendant) to 56 years (Superintending Engineer)
• Group A: 40 to 56 years
• Group B: 35 to 40 years
• Group C: 32 to 33 years
• Age is calculated as on the last date of application (15 June 2026)
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS as per Government of India norms. PwBD candidates get standard relaxation. No upper age limit for IISER Mohali employees (with at least 1 year remaining service)

Salary

• Pay Level 13: Rs. 1,23,100 to Rs. 2,15,900 per month (Superintending Engineer)
• Pay Level 12: Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 2,09,200 per month (Deputy Registrar, Deputy Librarian, Principal Tech Officer)
• Pay Level 11: Rs. 67,700 to Rs. 2,08,700 per month (Senior Technical Officer)
• Pay Level 10: Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month (Assistant Executive Engineer)
• Pay Level 7: Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month (Senior Superintendent, Nurse, Counsellor)
• Pay Level 6: Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month (Junior Engineer, Junior Translator)
• Pay Level 5: Rs. 29,200 to Rs. 92,300 per month (Pharmacist, Junior Technical Assistant)
• Pay Level 4: Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month (Junior Office Assistant)
• Pay Level 1: Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 per month (Attendant)
• Plus DA, HRA, TA, and other allowances as per Central Government rules
• Selected candidates will be covered under the National Pension System (NPS)

Selection Process

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Application Scrutiny: Applications evaluated by Scrutiny Committee. Shortlisting based on higher qualifications/experience may be applied
2. Written Test / Skill Test: As applicable to the post (scheme to be announced later)
3. Personal Interview: For shortlisted candidates only
4. Document Verification: Original documents must be produced at the time of selection test/interview

The exam/interview will be conducted at IISER Mohali or a centre decided by the Institute. Candidates called for Group A interviews will get travel reimbursement (AC II Tier rail or air fare based on distance).
