IIM Shillong is hiring for 7 administrative posts — from Assistant Manager up to Deputy General Manager — under a single notification (Advt. No. B1-2302/1/2026-ADMN/128). The Indian Institute of Management Shillong (IIM Shillong), an autonomous institute under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has released a notification to fill 7 administrative (non-faculty) positions at its Umsawli campus in Shillong, Meghalaya. The posts cover knowledge services, alumni relations, audit, academics, accreditation and IT & mechanical infrastructure. Deputy General Manager (Knowledge Services) — Level 12
- Ph.D. with first class in a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science
- Minimum 12 years of similar experience (with at least 10 years in Pay Level-10+, or 5 years in Level-11+, or 3 years in Level-12)
Deputy General Manager (Alumni Relations) — Level 12 (5-year contract)
- Master's Degree with at least 60% marks, preferably in Business Administration, Communications or Public Relations
- Minimum 12 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role in alumni engagement, programme/project management, stakeholder engagement or a related field
Senior Manager (Audit) — Level 11
- Associate Member of ICAI (Chartered Accountant) or ICWAI/ICMAI (Cost & Management Accountant)
- Minimum 15 years of similar experience (with at least 12 years in Level-8+, or 7 years in Level-10+, or 3 years in Level-11)
Manager (Academics) — Level 10
- Master's Degree with 60% marks; MBA preferred
- Minimum 12 years of similar experience (with at least 10 years in Level-6+, or 6 years in Level-8+, or currently in Level-10)
Manager (Accreditation) — Level 10 (5-year contract)
- Master's Degree with 60% marks; MBA (General Management or HR) preferred; a Ph.D. in Business Management is desirable
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in teaching, academic administration, quality assurance or accreditation. Experience with AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA, NAAC or NBA is highly valued
Assistant Manager (IT Infrastructure) — Level 6 (NC-OBC)
- BE / B.Tech / MCA with 55% marks
- Minimum 6 years of similar experience (with at least 4 years in Level-4+, or currently in Level-6)
Assistant Manager (Mechanical Infrastructure) — Level 6
- BE / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 55% marks
- Minimum 6 years of similar experience (with at least 4 years in Level-4+, or currently in Level-6)
Age Limit
- The maximum age depends on the post — 35 years for Assistant Manager, 40 years for Manager (Academics), 45 years for Senior Manager (Audit) and Manager (Accreditation), and 50 years for the Deputy General Manager posts.
- Age is counted as on the last date of publication of the advertisement.
- Age Relaxation: up to 5 years for SC/ST/PwD candidates and up to 3 years for NC-OBC candidates.
Salary
- Assistant Manager (Level 6): initial Basic Pay Rs. 35,400
- Manager (Level 10): initial Basic Pay Rs. 56,100
- Senior Manager (Level 11): initial Basic Pay Rs. 67,700
- Deputy General Manager (Level 12): initial Basic Pay Rs. 78,800 to Rs. 1,01,500
- Plus DA, HRA and other allowances as per Government of India rules and Institute norms
Pay protection may be considered for candidates already working in PSUs, Central/State Universities, semi-government institutions or autonomous bodies.

Selection Process
The process depends on the post:
- Deputy General Manager, Senior Manager and Manager posts (Sl. 1-5): Shortlisted candidates are called for an Interview.
- Assistant Manager posts (Sl. 6-7): Shortlisted candidates are called for a Written Test (Subject Knowledge, English & Communication, and Aptitude) and a Computer Test (practical MS Office / software skills, or a computer knowledge written test). Relevance of work experience is also considered.
- Document Verification: Original certificates are checked before selection.
Only shortlisted candidates are contacted. No TA/DA is paid for the written/computer test.
