IIIT Delhi Consultant (Audit) Recruitment 2026: Overview

Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT Delhi), a state university set up under the IIIT-Delhi Act 2007 of the Government of NCT of Delhi, is hiring a Consultant (Audit) under Advertisement No. 40/2026. The job exists to strengthen the institute's audit, statutory and regulatory compliance, so you will be the person who keeps its books ready for the C&AG and the internal auditor.

This is a one-year contract on a consolidated salary, and the pay is fixed according to your qualifications and experience rather than a pay level. The role is built for a seasoned audit officer: someone who has served as an Internal Audit Officer, Audit Officer or in a similar senior post at a university, autonomous body, government office or research institution. If you know GFR, GeM rules, pay fixation and audit-para settlement from real work, this post fits you well.

The work covers four areas: coordinating external audits, advising on financial and procurement rules, running internal audits of every division, and pulling audit information together from different sections of the campus.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: One year, with a probation period of three months. The contract can be extended each year based on requirement and your performance.
• No regular claim: The appointment gives you no right to a regular post or to an extension at the same level.
• Notice period: Either side can end the contract with one month's notice or one month's salary instead of notice.
• Computer skills: You need working knowledge of MS Office, e-mail and electronic records, since much of the audit documentation is digital.

• Coordinate with the C&AG and the internal auditor so audits run smoothly
• Prepare replies to audit observations, queries, Separate Audit Reports, Inspection Reports and Half Margins
• Follow up audit observations until they are settled and closed on time
• Check high-value tender payment vouchers, establishment claims, statutory remittances, procurement proposals, contracts and MoUs
• Advise on pay fixation, GFR and GeM compliance and procurement procedure
• Plan and conduct internal audits of all divisions to test internal controls
• Review financial statements, accounts and records for accuracy and compliance
• Compile audit documents, agenda notes and reports for meetings and track follow-up on decisions
