About This Job

India International Arbitration Centre (IIAC) is hiring 7 officers on deputation at its New Delhi office. The posts include Assistant Registrar, Assistant Registrar (Accounts), Private Secretary and Executive Assistant. Only officers from the Central Government, State Government, Courts, Tribunals or Autonomous bodies can apply — private candidates are not eligible. India International Arbitration Centre (IIAC), an autonomous body set up under the India International Arbitration Centre Act, 2019, has issued circular File No. A-12011/6/2023-IIAC dated 08.05.2026 for filling up 7 posts on deputation (Foreign Service Terms basis) at the Centre, New Delhi. The vacancies are spread across four cadre levels (Levels 7 to 9 of the pay matrix). Only serving Government / Court / Tribunal / Autonomous body officers meeting the eligibility can apply through the proper channel.

Who Can Apply?

You must be an officer of the Central Government, State Government, Courts, Tribunals or Autonomous bodies. The eligibility differs by post.

Assistant Registrar (Level-9)

  • Holding analogous post on regular basis, OR three years regular service in Level-8, OR five years regular service in Level-7
  • You must possess a degree in law from a recognised University or Institute
  • Desirable: Two years experience in Arbitration Law

Assistant Registrar - Accounts (Level-9)

  • Holding analogous post on regular basis, OR five years regular service as Assistant Accounts Officer / Auditor in Level-8, OR eight years regular service as Junior Accounts Officer / Senior Accountant / Accountant in Level-7
  • Desirable: B.Com or equivalent degree; pass certificate in subordinate accounts service or training in Cash and Accounts work from ISTM

Private Secretary (Level-8)

  • Holding analogous post on regular basis, OR holding the post of Court Master or Stenographer Grade C with two years regular service in Level-7
  • You must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognised University or Institution

Executive Assistant / Assistant Section Officer - Accounts (Level-7)

  • Holding analogous post on regular basis, OR five years regular service in Level-6
  • You must possess a Bachelor's degree from a recognised University or Institution
  • Desirable: B.Com, pass certificate in subordinate accounts service, ISTM training, and working knowledge of computers

Age Limit

  • You should be below 56 years of age as on the closing date of application.
  • This is a deputation recruitment; private candidates are not eligible to apply.

Salary

  • Assistant Registrar / Assistant Registrar (Accounts): Level-9 of the pay matrix — Rs. 53,100 to Rs. 1,67,800 per month
  • Private Secretary: Level-8 of the pay matrix — Rs. 47,600 to Rs. 1,51,100 per month
  • Executive Assistant / ASO (Accounts): Level-7 of the pay matrix — Rs. 44,900 to Rs. 1,42,400 per month
  • Pay, allowances and deputation terms are governed by DoPT OM No. 6/8/2009-Estt. (Pay.II) dated 17 June 2010 and other guidelines.

Selection Process

Selection is through deputation screening — there is no written exam.

  1. Scrutiny of applications received through proper channel with Cadre Clearance, Vigilance Clearance, Integrity Certificate, and ACRs/APARs for the last 5 years
  2. Selection Committee meeting by IIAC
  3. Offer of appointment after receipt of complete documents from the cadre

The period of deputation shall ordinarily not exceed three years, including any earlier ex-cadre deputation immediately preceding this appointment.

  2. Fill in the application in the prescribed proforma and get it forwarded through your cadre controlling authority.
  3. Attach Cadre Clearance Certificate, Vigilance Clearance / Integrity Certificate, penalty statement for the last 10 years, and attested copies of ACRs / APARs for the last 5 years.
  4. Send the complete application by post so that it reaches: India International Arbitration Centre, Plot No. 6, Institutional Area, Vasant Kunj, New Delhi - 110070 on or before 15 June 2026.
  5. Cadre authorities must forward selected officers' papers within 15 days of the last date of application.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Registrar in handling arbitration case files, hearings and administrative work at IIAC, New Delhi
  • Maintain accounts, audit records and budget files for IIAC (Accounts posts)
  • Handle stenography, dictation, drafting of letters and confidential papers for senior officers (Private Secretary)
  • Manage section-level files, noting and correspondence in accounts and administration branches
  • Coordinate with the Ministry of Law and Justice, Supreme Court, High Courts and tribunals on official matters
  • Maintain registers, attend meetings and prepare minutes as directed by the Registrar / CEO
  • Operate computer applications for case management and accounting work

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

Preferred Qualification

B.Com (for Accounts posts); two years experience in Arbitration Law (for Assistant Registrar); pass certificate in subordinate accounts service or ISTM training; working knowledge of computers.

Required Skills

Drafting, file noting, stenography (for PS), accounts and audit (for Accounts posts), computer operation, knowledge of government procedures.
