National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency (NRIDA) Data Scientist Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

National Rural Infrastructure Development Agency (NRIDA), an autonomous agency under the Union Ministry of Rural Development, has released Advertisement No. 02/2026 for the engagement of a Data Scientist as Consultant in the ICT-PMU. NRIDA provides technical and managerial support to States and UTs for implementing the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY), which delivers all-weather road connectivity to rural areas. There is no written exam — selection is by screening the email applications followed by an interview. Graduates with 3+ years of relevant experience in data science or e-Governance can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Mathematics or Computer Science (or a related field) from a well-known institute.
• Experience: At least 3 years in any of these areas — data analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, business or strategy consulting, financial investing, impact and social investing, Information Systems, Database Management, website management, project management, or e-Governance work.
• Other experience valued: Managing or developing IT projects from requirement phase to delivery; working with government datasets such as Census, SECC, BPL, NSS.
• Skills: Strong written and oral communication; self-driven; able to work under pressure and tight deadlines.

• Maximum age: 35 years

Salary

• Consolidated monthly remuneration: Rs. 1,10,000 (as approved in the 24th GB meeting held on 18 January 2019)

• Set up IT and network monitoring systems at the Ministry, NRIDA and SRRDA levels
• Collect end-user feedback, prepare MIS reports and provide business analytics for the programme
• Follow up with States and UTs on implementation, prepare briefs on bottlenecks, and build IT training material
• Assist NRIDA in expediting and monitoring rural road works across India
