Himachal Pradesh Rajya Chayan Aayog (HPRCA), Hamirpur has released Advertisement No. 08/2026 for 808 teacher posts across 7 subjects in Government Schools affiliated to CBSE. These are scheme-based engagement positions for a maximum duration of 5 years under the "Scheme for the Engagements of Teachers in Government Schools Affiliated to CBSE on Fixed Honorarium" (Government Order No. EDN-B-A(1)-3/2025 dated 01.04.2026). There is no permanent appointment or regularization under this scheme — these are fixed-term positions. Selection is through a Computer Based Test (CBT).

Who Can Apply?

For Teacher (Hindi / History / Geography / Sanskrit) — Post Codes 26023, 26025, 26026, 26027:

• Qualification: Master's Degree in the relevant subject from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks
• Professional: B.Ed from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks
• TET: Must have passed HP TET conducted by H.P. Board of School Education, Dharamshala or any authorised agency
• Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English is required

For Music Teacher — Post Code 26021:

• Qualification: Master's Degree in Vocal/Instrumental Music from a recognised university with minimum 50% marks
• Professional: B.Ed with minimum 50% marks + HP TET qualification
• Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English required

For Teacher (Drawing) — Post Code 26022:

• Option 1: 10+2 with 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Art & Craft Teacher from a recognised institution/university
• Option 2: B.A. with Fine Arts / Visual Arts (Painting, Sculpture, or Applied Arts) as an elective subject with 50% marks
• Option 3: Master's Degree in Fine Arts / Visual Arts (Painting and Sculpture) with at least 55% marks
• Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English required

For Physical Education Teacher (Elementary) — Post Code 26024:

• Option 1: 10+2 with 50% marks + Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.) of 2 years from a HP Government recognised university/board
• Option 2: B.P.Ed. with 50% marks from a HP Govt recognised university
• Option 3: Bachelor's Degree with Physical Education as an elective subject with 50% marks
• For Ex-Servicemen: 10+2 + P.T.I. course from Army School of Physical Education, Pune
• Proficiency in teaching Hindi and English required; sports relaxation of 5% available for international/national/SGFI position holders

Important Domicile Condition: You must have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from a school or institution within Himachal Pradesh. This condition does NOT apply to Bonafide Himachalis.

Relaxation: 5% relaxation in minimum educational qualification marks for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates of HP.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 45 years old as on 01 January 2026.
• Age relaxation is available as per HP Government rules for reserved categories.
• Candidates of reserved categories from other states are treated as General (UR) category — no age or fee relaxation.

Salary / Honorarium

• Fixed honorarium of Rs. 30,000 per month payable for 10 months in an academic year
• This is a scheme-based engagement — not a government salary. CCS/CCA/Leave Rules/Pension Rules do not apply.
• The engagement is for a maximum of 5 years with no right to regularization.
• Government medical rules for reimbursement claims do not apply to these positions.

• All candidates (all categories): Rs. 800 (Rs. 100 examination fee + Rs. 700 processing fee)
• Correction window fee: Rs. 100
• Payment mode: Online only (Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking)
• Fee once paid is non-refundable.

Selection Process

The selection is done in 3 stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test: 120 multiple-choice questions for 120 marks in 1.5 hours (90 minutes). Minimum qualifying marks: 45% for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC/WFF. Scores normalised using Z-Score method for multiple shifts.
2. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates called for verification of original certificates and self-attested copies.
3. Medical Examination: Final stage before appointment.

Exam Syllabus:

• Subject/field-specific questions up to the level of prescribed essential qualification
• General Knowledge including HP GK and Current Affairs
• Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi (Matriculation standard)

How to Apply

2. Register on the One Time Registration (OTR) portal if you haven't already.
3. Log in with your Registration Number and Password.
4. Fill in the Online Recruitment Application (ORA) form for the post you want.
5. Upload scanned photograph (JPG/JPEG/PNG, max 1 MB) and signature (JPG/JPEG/PNG, max 1 MB).
6. Pay the application fee online (Rs. 800).
7. Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.
