HPRCA Junior Engineer (Civil) Recruitment 2026 — 149 Posts

HPRCA, headquartered in Hamirpur, was set up in 2023 to ensure transparent and merit-based recruitment for the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Through this notification (Post Code 26016), the Aayog is filling 149 JE (Civil) vacancies on a Job Trainee basis under the Job Trainee Scheme-2025 notified by the Department of Personnel. This is one of the largest engineering recruitment drives in HP this year.

Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• Matric or 10+2 from a recognized Board of School Education or University
• Full-time Diploma in Civil Engineering OR B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering from an AICTE/UGC-recognized institution
• AMIE candidates enrolled up to 31 May 2013 from the Institution of Engineers (India), Calcutta, are also eligible

Domicile Requirement

• You must have passed Matriculation and 10+2 from a school or institution in Himachal Pradesh. This condition does not apply to Bonafide Himachalis.
• Candidates from other states will be treated as General (UR) category and will not get reservation or fee concession benefits.

Desirable

• Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh

Age Limit

• Minimum age: 18 years
• Maximum age: 45 years
• Age as on: 01 January 2026
• Age relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, and Ex-servicemen of Himachal Pradesh, as per government rules

Salary

• Consolidated monthly salary: Rs. 23,500 (fixed)
• This is a Job Trainee position — the salary is a consolidated amount without separate DA, HRA, or other allowances
• The engagement is governed by the Job Trainee Scheme-2025 (Department of Personnel notification dated 19.07.2025)

Selection Process

1. Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test — 120 MCQ questions, 120 marks, 1.5 hours (90 minutes). Each question carries 1 mark. The exam may be OMR-based if the number of candidates is limited.
2. Document Verification — Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original certificates and documents.

Exam Syllabus

• Civil Engineering subjects — at the level of Diploma/B.E./B.Tech as prescribed in the essential qualifications
• General Knowledge — including HP GK and Current Affairs
• Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science
• General English and General Hindi — at Matric standard

Minimum Qualifying Marks

• General category: 45%
• SC/ST/OBC/WFF: 40%

In case of multiple CBT shifts, scores will be normalized using the Z-Score Method (Mean and Standard Deviation Method).

• Handle civil engineering works including site surveys, measurements, and quality checks for government projects
• Prepare detailed project estimates, drawings, and technical reports for departmental works
• Monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety standards
• Assist senior engineers in planning, designing, and executing road, bridge, and building projects
• Keep accurate records of materials used, labour deployed, and work progress at project sites
• Follow departmental rules, procedures, and government guidelines in all engineering activities
• Work with contractors and field staff to ensure timely completion of assigned projects
