HPHC Stenographer Recruitment 2026: Overview
The High Court of Himachal Pradesh (HPHC) is recruiting regular Group C Stenographers for its establishment in Shimla. This recruitment follows the High Court’s staff recruitment and service rules. A key condition is that appointments depend on the outcome of pending court cases, so you should read that clause before deciding to apply.
Service Conditions and Caveats
- Pending cases: Appointments are subject to the outcome of CWP No. 6948 of 2025, Hemant Kumar Sharma versus High Court of H.P. and another, and CWP No. 7805 of 2025, Anil Kumar versus High Court of H.P. and another.
- Category choice: The category you claim in your application is final. The court will not accept a later request to change it.
- EWS condition: If no EWS candidate is available for selection, the advertised EWS post can be filled from the unreserved category under the government instructions cited in the notice.
- Updates: Keep the mobile number and email address in your application active. The court will use SMS and email for schedule alerts and will not send a separate call letter through another channel.
- Application changes: Once you submit the form, you cannot withdraw or modify it. You can cancel it, but that does not create a right to a refund.
- Venue and review: The court may hold tests at the district headquarters in Shimla. Requests to change the test date, time or venue will not be accepted, and answer sheets cannot be rechecked or re-evaluated.
Application Submission Notes
If you hold a regular government or semi-government job, apply through the proper channel. Your employer’s NOC must be addressed to the Registrar General, High Court of H.P. and reach within fifteen days after the application deadline; the notice exempts the listed trainee, contract, casual, ad hoc, daily-wage and work-charged staff from this NOC requirement.
