Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital & Research Centre, Punjab (a unit of Tata Memorial Centre, A Grant-in-Aid Institute under Department of Atomic Energy, Government of India) has released advertisement TMC/HBCHRC/M/HRD/RECT/21/26 for 2 Scientific Assistant (Nuclear Medicine) posts on adhoc basis. The tenure is one year from the date of appointment or till finalization of the permanent post, whichever is earlier. There is no written exam — selection is through walk-in interview at the New Chandigarh campus.
Who Can Apply?
You need to meet any one of the following qualification routes:
Route 1
- B.Sc (Physics / Chemistry / Biology / Nuclear Medicine or equivalent) with PGDFIT / DMRIT
- AND RSO Level-II (Nuclear Medicine) examination conducted by RPAD / AERB
- AND minimum 1 year experience post qualification in the relevant field
Route 2
- B.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology + PGDNMT (4-year integrated program)
- AND RSO Level-II (Nuclear Medicine) certification
- AND minimum 1 year experience post qualification
Route 3
- B.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology (3-year program)
- AND RSO Level-II (Nuclear Medicine) certification
- AND minimum 3 years experience post qualification
Route 4
- M.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology or equivalent course in Nuclear Medicine Technology
- AND RSO Level-II (Nuclear Medicine) certification
- No minimum experience specified

Salary

Responsibilities
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment such as gamma cameras, PET-CT and SPECT-CT scanners
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients as per protocol
- Handle radioactive materials safely as per AERB and RPAD guidelines
- Maintain quality control and calibration of nuclear medicine equipment
- Assist nuclear medicine physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
- Keep accurate records of patient procedures and radiation exposure
- Follow radiation safety protocols and ensure patient and staff protection
- Coordinate with the oncology team for cancer imaging and therapy services

B.Sc (Physics/Chemistry/Biology/Nuclear Medicine) + PGDFIT/DMRIT OR B.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology (3 or 4 years) OR M.Sc Nuclear Medicine Technology, with RSO Level-II (Nuclear Medicine) certification from RPAD/AERB
