Who Can Apply?

Subject Matter Specialist (Agricultural Engineering) — Pay Level 10

• You need a Master's degree in Processing and Food Engineering from a recognised university.

Subject Matter Specialist (Horticulture) — Pay Level 10

• You need a Master's degree in Agriculture with specialisation in Horticulture, or a Master's degree in Horticulture from a recognised university.

Subject Matter Specialist (Extension Education) — Pay Level 10

• You need a Master's degree in Agriculture with specialisation in Extension Education / Agriculture Extension from a recognised university.

Programme Assistant (Computer) — Pay Level 6

• You need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Computer Application or equivalent from a recognised university.

Stenographer Grade-III — Pay Level 4

• You need a 12th Class pass or equivalent from a recognised Board or University.
• You must clear a Gujarati dictation test at 80 w.p.m. for 10 minutes and transcribe it in 65 minutes on computer.

Driver — Pay Level 3

• You need a Matriculation (10th) pass from a recognised board.
• You must hold a valid HMV driving licence and pass a practical skill test.
• Desirable: a one-year ITI trade certificate, driving experience, or motor mechanic work.

Skilled Support Staff — Pay Level 1

• You need a Matriculation (10th) pass or ITI pass.

Knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi is a basic requirement, since the medium of work at the KVKs is mainly Gujarati.

Age Limit

• Subject Matter Specialist (all): below 35 years
• Programme Assistant (Computer): below 30 years
• Stenographer Grade-III: below 27 years
• Driver: below 30 years
• Skilled Support Staff: below 25 years
• Age is counted as on the last date of application (19 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST up to 15 years, OBC up to 13 years, and Unreserved (PwBD) up to 10 years.

Salary

• Subject Matter Specialist (Pay Level 10): Rs. 56,100 to Rs. 1,77,500 per month
• Programme Assistant (Pay Level 6): Rs. 35,400 to Rs. 1,12,400 per month
• Stenographer Grade-III (Pay Level 4): Rs. 25,500 to Rs. 81,100 per month
• Driver (Pay Level 3): Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month
• Skilled Support Staff (Pay Level 1): Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 56,900 per month
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per the rules.

Application Fee

• General / OBC / EWS: Rs. 1,000
• SC / ST: Rs. 800
• PwBD: No fee (exempted)
• Bank and transaction charges are paid by you. The fee is non-refundable.

Selection Process

For Group B and Group C posts, selection is done in these stages:

1. Screening: Applications are shortlisted based on qualifications and experience.
2. Written Test / Skill Test: For clerical and technical posts, the written test may cover Reasoning, Simple Arithmetic, Establishment Rules, Accounts, General Knowledge, and language proficiency in English, Hindi and Gujarati. The Stenographer and Driver posts have a skill test (dictation / driving).
3. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for interview and final selection is based on overall record and performance.

Call letters are sent only to shortlisted candidates by email.

4. Upload scanned documents in PDF format (each file under 500 KB).

6. Submit the form and take a printout.
7. Send one hard copy of the printed application with self-attested documents by R.P.A.D./Speed Post to "The Registrar, Gujarat Vidyapith, Ashram Road, Nr. Income Tax, Ahmedabad - 380 009" so that it reaches by 29 July 2026.

If you apply for more than one post or more than one KVK, you must submit a separate online application and fee for each.
