Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) is offering 50 apprenticeship training seats for fresh graduates and diploma holders. If you finished your B.E./B.Tech, Diploma or a general degree (B.Com/B.A./B.Sc.) in 2024, 2025 or 2026, you can apply offline by post. The last date to reach your application at GSL is 15 July 2026. Apprentices get a monthly stipend from Rs. 10,900 up to Rs. 13,530 depending on the stream.

Goa Shipyard Limited is a Schedule 'A' Mini Ratna Category I defence public sector company that designs and builds ships for the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard. Under the Apprentices Act 1961 and the Apprenticeship (Amendment) Rules 2025, GSL is offering 50 apprenticeship seats to fresh pass-out candidates across Graduate Engineer, Technician (Diploma) and Non-Engineering Graduate streams. As an apprentice, you train for one or two years and get real, hands-on exposure to defence shipbuilding — strong experience to start an engineering or technical career.

This is a training programme, not a regular job. However, subject to resources and vacancies, strong performers may be placed for Advanced Training or as a Trainee Project Executive in shipbuilding work at the company's discretion.

Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentices (30 Posts)

• General Graduates (B.Com / B.A. / B.Sc.): 30 posts

Who Can Apply?

You must be a fresh pass-out who completed the required qualification in 2024, 2025 or 2026.

• Graduate Engineer Apprentice: B.E. / B.Tech in the relevant engineering discipline.
• Technician Apprentice: Diploma in Engineering in the relevant discipline.
• Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentice: B.Com, B.A. or B.Sc. degree.
• You should not have done an apprenticeship before, or have completed only one apprenticeship in a different trade at least one year before this advertisement.
• Reservation: SC / ST / OBC / PwD reservation applies as per Government of India rules.
• No application fee: There is no fee for this apprenticeship — you only need to send your application by post.

Stipend

• Graduate Engineer Apprentice: Rs. 12,300 per month (one-year training).
• Technician Apprentice: Rs. 10,900 per month (one-year training).
• Non-Engineering Graduate Apprentice: Rs. 12,300 per month in the first year and Rs. 13,530 per month in the second year (two-year training).

Selection Process

Selection depends on your stream:

1. Graduate Apprentices (Engineer and Non-Engineering): Written Test followed by an Interview.
2. Technician Apprentices: Written Test followed by a Practical Test.
3. Only candidates who clear the written test are called for the interview or practical test.

No TA/DA is paid for the test or interview. GSL may raise the cut-off percentage to shortlist applications.

3. Attach attested copies of all relevant certificates.
4. Super-scribe the discipline/trade applied for and the word "Apprenticeships" on the envelope.
5. Send it by post to Head of Department (HR & Admn.), Goa Shipyard Limited, Vaddem, Vasco-da-Gama, Goa - 403 802, so it reaches on or before 15 July 2026. Applications sent by email are not accepted.

• Apply classroom knowledge to practical tasks in the assigned section
