The High Court of Tripura has released Advertisement No. HC-03/2026 to fill 3 vacant posts of Senior Computer Assistant in its own establishment. Of these, 2 posts are reserved for General category and 1 for ST candidates, though the exact number may change at the time of selection. Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a B.E. / B.Tech in Computer Science / Information Technology, or an MCA, from any recognized University.
• Domicile: Open to all Indian citizens — no state domicile restriction is mentioned in the notification. However, ST candidates from other states must apply as General category and pay the General category fee.
• Note: If you are already working in Government service, you must submit a 'No-Objection Certificate' from your employer.
• Other conditions: You must be a citizen of India, must not have been dismissed from any government or High Court service, must not have a conviction involving moral turpitude, must not have more than one spouse living, and must not directly or indirectly try to influence the recruiting authority.

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on 10 August 2026.
• Age Relaxation: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes can apply up to 45 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a salary in the Pay Band-2, Rs. 5,700 to Rs. 24,000 per month range, with Grade Pay of Rs. 2,800.
• You will also get DA, HRA and other allowances as per Tripura Government rules.
• This pay band is standard for technical support posts in Tripura Government service and applies uniformly to all three vacancies under this recruitment.

Application Fee

• General category: Rs. 500
• SC / ST category: Rs. 250

Selection Process

The selection will be done in two phases:

1. Written Test: Objective type test of 100 marks in 2 hours, covering General Knowledge, General English, Current Affairs, Aptitude, and Computer Science knowledge. You need at least 60% marks (relaxable by 10% for reserved categories) to qualify. Around 3 candidates per vacancy will be shortlisted for Phase 2.
2. Viva Voce (Interview) and Skill Test: Interview worth 25 marks and a practical Skill Test (software and hardware knowledge demonstration) worth 25 marks. You need at least 70% marks in this phase to qualify.

Candidates shortlisted for the Written Test will have their original certificates and marksheets scrutinised beforehand. The selected panel will remain valid for 1 year from its date of publication, and if no suitable ST candidate is available, the post will first be offered to other reserved categories before being filled by a General category candidate as per rules. You will need to bear your own travel and other expenses for appearing in the Selection Test — the High Court does not reimburse any related costs.
