This is a departmental/promotional recruitment — only regular Group-D employees of the Balangir Judgeship with at least 5 years of continuous service can apply, not the general public. Who Can Apply?
This recruitment is restricted to serving Group-D staff of the Balangir Judgeship — here is what you need to qualify:

Salary
- Selected candidates will get a salary of Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 63,200 per month (Pay Matrix Level-4, ORSP Rules 2017).
- You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances as per Odisha government rules.
This places you in the state government's regular non-gazetted staff cadre, with periodic increments as per Odisha's pay revision rules.
Selection Process
Selection is done in 3 stages:
- Written Test: English (100 marks, 2 hours), Arithmetic (100 marks, 1 hour), and General Knowledge (100 marks, 1 hour). You need at least 35% marks in each subject to qualify.
- Computer Science Test (Practical): 100 marks, 1 hour — tests skills like paragraph formatting, tables, file handling, browsing, email, and basic accounting software. You need 50% marks (40% for SC/ST candidates) to qualify.
- Viva Voce: 45 marks — tests your alertness, general outlook, and suitability for the post.
Together, these three stages decide your final merit position — there is no separate interview beyond the viva voce.
