High Court of Tripura Junior Administrative Assistant Recruitment 2026 - 14 Posts

The High Court of Tripura has released Advertisement No. HC-02/2026 to fill 14 vacant posts of Junior Administrative Assistant in its own establishment at Agartala. Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You must be a Graduate from a recognized University.

  • Domicile: Open to all Indian citizens — no state domicile restriction is mentioned in the notification. However, ST/SC candidates from other states must apply as General category and pay the General category fee.
  • Note: If you are already working in Government service, you must submit a 'No-Objection Certificate' from your employer.
  • Other conditions: You must be a citizen of India, must not have been dismissed from any government or High Court service, must not have a conviction involving moral turpitude, must not have more than one spouse living, and must not directly or indirectly try to influence the recruiting authority.

Age Limit

  • You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on 10 August 2026.
  • Age Relaxation: Candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes can apply up to 45 years.

Salary

  • Selected candidates will get an entry pay of Rs. 21,400 per month under Pay Matrix Level-7 of the TSCS (Revised Pay) (First Structure Amendment) Rules, 2018.
  • This pay is subject to revision by the Tripura Government from time to time, plus DA, HRA and other allowances as applicable.

  • SC / ST category: Rs. 250

Selection Process

The selection will be done in two phases:

  1. Written Screening Test: Objective type test of 100 marks in 2 hours, covering English, General Knowledge, Aptitude, Reasoning and Basic Computer Knowledge. You need at least 60% marks (relaxable by 10% for reserved categories) to qualify. Around 3 candidates per vacancy will be shortlisted for Phase 2.
  2. Type Test on Computer (20 marks) and Written Test in English (30 marks): The Written Test covers English Comprehension, Précis Writing, Paragraph Writing, Letter Writing, and Translation between Bengali and English. You need at least 60% marks in this phase to qualify.

Candidates shortlisted for the Written Screening Test will have their original certificates and marksheets scrutinised beforehand. The selected panel will remain valid for 1 year from its date of publication, and if no suitable ST/SC candidate is available, reserved posts will be filled by other category candidates as per rules. You will need to bear your own travel and other expenses for appearing in the Selection Test — the High Court does not reimburse any related costs.
