Selection Process

Selection will happen through a walk-in interview at the Principal Chamber, GMC Nalgonda. For Assistant Professor and Senior Resident posts, your MD/MS/DNB marks will be the deciding factor. For Tutor positions, your MBBS marks determine the ranking. Professors and Associate Professors will be evaluated based on their teaching experience duration in the respective cadre. Reservation rules apply as per Telangana government norms.

Important: Candidates currently working on contract at any other Telangana Government Medical College in the same cadre are not eligible to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver lectures, practicals, and clinical training to undergraduate and postgraduate medical students
  • Conduct patient care duties in the Government General Hospital attached to GMC Nalgonda
  • Participate in research activities, academic meetings, and departmental workshops
  • Maintain academic records, student assessments, and examination-related documentation
  • Remain available on full-time basis as directed by the competent authority of the institute

Eligibility Criteria

Minimum Qualification

MBBS for Tutor posts; MD/MS/DNB in concerned subject as per NMC TEQ 2022 for Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor posts

Preferred Qualification

M.Sc in Medical Anatomy, Microbiology, or Pharmacology considered for Tutor posts if MBBS doctors not available

Required Skills

Medical Education Technology (MET) course and Biomedical Research course from NMC-designated institutions (for Professor and Associate Professor posts); Research publications in indexed journals

Age Limit

18 - 69 years (as on 09 Mar 2026)

Experience

Freshers can apply

Professor: 8 years post-PG including 3 years as Associate Professor with 4 research publications (2 as Associate Professor). Associate Professor: 5 years post-PG including 4 years as Assistant Professor with 2 research publications. Assistant Professor: 1 year as Senior Resident after MD/MS. Tutor: No experience required.

Pay Scale

Consolidated: Professor Rs 1,90,000; Associate Professor Rs 1,50,000; Assistant Professor Rs 1,25,000; Tutor Rs 55,000 per month

Allowances

Consolidated salary is all-inclusive. Subject to TDS and statutory deductions as applicable.

  • Medical Council Registration: MBBS and additional qualification must be registered with Telangana State Medical Council (TSMC). Outside state candidates must register within one week of selection.
  • Bond Requirement: One year bond on Rs. 100 stamp paper (notarized) required at joining. 3 months notice period to leave; bond-breakers pay 3 months salary.
  • Local Candidature: First preference to local candidates. Bonafide/Study conduct certificates from Class 1 to 7 required for local status.
  • Medical Fitness: Medical Fitness Certificate issued by Civil Surgeon required at the time of joining.
