FDDI Junior Faculty Recruitment 2026: Overview

Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI), an institute working under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, is looking for Junior Faculty at its Noida campus on an ad-hoc basis. Posts and Disciplines

• Junior Faculty – Product Design: teaching in the leather goods and accessories programmes, open to postgraduates from product, industrial, furniture, ceramic, accessories, visual, communication or UI/UX design. Hands-on skill in 3D design software and industry experience get preference.
• Junior Faculty – Leather Garments: teaching in the same school with a focus on leather garments, open to postgraduates from design, apparel design, garment manufacturing technology or leather-related programmes. Practical work in leather garment pattern making and construction is part of the requirement.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Ad-hoc tenure: The first engagement lasts up to six months. It can be renewed for up to six months at a time through a fresh engagement, only for as long as management decides.
• Consolidated pay only: The regular pay scales of the posts do not apply. Pay for a part month is worked out pro-rata on a 30-day month.
• Leave: You get two casual leaves a month, which carry forward only within the current six-month term and lapse after it. There is no earned leave or leave encashment.
• No other benefits: There is no HRA, house allotment, LTC or medical benefit. The institute may give temporary hostel or house accommodation for a charge, but you must vacate it within 15 days of the engagement ending.
• Working days: Normally five days a week, but you may be called on weekends or holidays and can claim comp-off as per FDDI norms.
• Performance review: Management reviews your work using student feedback, class observation and how well you follow your duties; these reviews count when FDDI decides on re-engagement.
• Reserved categories: Candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS and differently abled categories can apply.
