Family Court, Hardoi Counsellor Recruitment 2026 - 3 Posts

The Family Court in Hardoi, Uttar Pradesh, has released a notification for 3 Counsellor (Paramarshdata) posts, following a letter from the Allahabad High Court (No. 1928/SFCM Cell/Allahabad) dated 28 February 2026. Preference will be given to candidates who are residents of Hardoi district and to those with experience in family counselling. Counsellors appointed under this scheme work closely with the Family Court to help couples and families resolve disputes before matters reach formal court proceedings, making this a meaningful opportunity for social work and psychology postgraduates. The post does not create any regular government employment right, and every appointment is reviewed by the Allahabad High Court based on names recommended by the state government.

Who Can Apply?

  • Qualification: You need a Master's Degree from a UGC-recognized university, or an equivalent qualification, in Social Work or Psychology as a single subject.
  • Experience: You should have experience in social work. Candidates who hold a Master's degree and have worked in social work, with at least 2 years of experience in family counselling, will be preferred.
  • Domicile: Preference will be given to applicants who are residents of Hardoi district.
  • Character and Health: You must be of good character and sound health, with good physique and no organic defects or bodily infirmity.
  • Marital Status: You must not have more than one spouse living, if married.
  • Declaration: If you have any pending criminal case, or have been convicted in any criminal case, you must clearly mention it in your application.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection for the Counsellor post is based on screening and interview, not a written exam:

  1. Screening of Applications: Family Court, Hardoi screens the applications received and shortlists candidates who meet the eligibility criteria.
  2. Panel Preparation: A panel of 5 candidates per vacancy is prepared, along with names recommended by the state government, and forwarded to the Allahabad High Court for scrutiny.
  3. Final Selection: The Uttar Pradesh state government makes the final appointment based on the High Court's recommendation and interview outcome. Appointed Counsellors then work under directions issued by the state government from time to time.
