About This Job

FACT (The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited) is hiring Technician (Process) on a Fixed Tenure Contract (Adhoc basis) through walk-in selection. If you have a B.Sc Degree in Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry or a Diploma in Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology, you can apply. The walk-in selection will be held on 21 May 2026 at 9:00 AM at FACT, Eloor. Selected candidates will be paid Rs. 25,000 per month with a 3% increase each year.

FACT Technician (Process) Recruitment 2026

The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), a Schedule A multi-divisional Central PSE and pioneer in the manufacture of Fertilisers, Chemicals and Caprolactam, has released Recruitment Notification No. 02/2026 dated 11.05.2026 for engagement of Technicians (Process) on a fixed tenure contract basis. FACT's operations are spread over Manufacturing, Engineering Design and Consultancy, and Fabrication. Only male candidates are eligible to apply. The engagement is initially for a term of two years, renewable for up to 2 more spells of one year each at the discretion of management.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have a B.Sc Degree in Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry OR a Diploma in Engineering (Chemical Engineering / Chemical Technology, including Petrochemical Technology).
• Preferred: Candidates who have completed Apprenticeship Training in the relevant discipline at FACT and have a COP (Certificate of Proficiency) / AOCP issued by the Directorate General of Training / NCVT.
• Gender: Only male candidates are eligible. The post is not identified for PwBD.
• Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
• The qualification must be obtained through a full-time regular course. Part-time, correspondence, distance or off-campus courses are not eligible. Wherever the qualification has a dual specialisation, one must be function-specific for the post.
• The qualification must be approved/recognised by UGC / AICTE / NCVT / AIU.
• Candidates already engaged as Technician (Process) at FACT will not be considered until they complete their 4-year tenure. Those who resigned or were relieved (other than at end of term) from earlier FACT engagement are also not eligible.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 26 years as on 01 May 2026
• You should have been born on or between 01 May 2000 and 30 April 2008
• Age Relaxation: Up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (NCL) candidates, and as per GOI guidelines for Ex-Service personnel
• Matriculation/School Leaving Certificate is the only acceptable proof of age.

Salary

• Consolidated pay: Rs. 25,000 per month
• Annual increase: 3% on successful completion of each year
• You will also get Leave, ESI, Provident Fund and TA & DA for duty travel as per the company's rules
• The engagement term is initially 2 years, renewable for 2 more spells of 1 year each (maximum 4 years total)

• No TA/DA will be paid for attending the walk-in selection.

Selection Process

1. Online Registration: Register on the FACT website between 11 May 2026 and 11:00 AM on 21 May 2026.
2. Walk-in Selection & Document Verification: Attend the walk-in on 21 May 2026 at 9:00 AM with all original certificates at HR Department, FEDO Buildings, Eloor.
3. Merit Ranking: Candidates will be ranked based on (a) completed Apprenticeship Training in the relevant discipline at FACT with COP/AOCP, (b) earlier year of passing the qualification, and (c) earlier date of birth.
4. Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates must undergo a pre-employment medical examination and be certified fit by the Company's Medical Officer.
5. Police Clearance Certificate must be submitted before engagement.

Reservation for SC, ST, OBC (NCL), EWS and Ex-Servicemen will apply as per Government Directives. EWS candidates need an EWS certificate of income year 2025-26. OBC-NCL candidates must submit a self-declaration with the application.

3. Download the prescribed Application Form, fill it manually, paste your photo, sign it, scan as PDF and upload it on the portal.
4. Submit the online registration before 11:00 AM on 21 May 2026.
5. Attend the walk-in selection on 21 May 2026 at 9:00 AM at HR Department, FEDO Buildings, Eloor, Udyogamandal - 683501.
6. Carry all original certificates and self-attested copies — application form, proof of date of birth, educational certificates, COP/AOCP (if any), caste/EWS certificate (if claiming reservation), photo ID and Aadhaar card.

Failure to produce the required original certificates at the walk-in will result in disqualification. Depending on candidate turnout, document verification may extend to subsequent days. Applications not in the prescribed format will be summarily rejected.

• Operate and monitor process equipment in FACT's fertiliser and chemical manufacturing units
• Handle chemical reactions, distillation, filtration and material transfer as per standard operating procedures
• Maintain process logs, shift records and instrument readings
• Follow safety guidelines for handling hazardous chemicals and pressurised systems
• Assist in routine maintenance, shutdown and start-up activities of process units
• Work in rotational shifts including night duties as per the plant schedule
• Report process deviations, breakdowns and safety incidents to supervisors
