FACT Data Processing Assistant Recruitment 2026

The Fertilisers and Chemicals Travancore Limited (FACT), a Schedule A Central PSU, has released Recruitment Notification No. 5/2026 dated 20 June 2026. The notice is for building a panel of trained apprentices who may be considered for fixed tenure contract engagement as Data Processing Assistant. This is not a regular permanent appointment, and engagement from the panel will depend on company requirement, reservation rules, medical fitness, and management decision.

Panel and Vacancy Details

• Post: Data Processing Assistant on Fixed Tenure Contract (Adhoc Basis)
• Vacancy count: The notification does not give a fixed number of vacancies.
• Panel rule: FACT will prepare a panel and may engage candidates from it based on future requirement.
• Separate panel: The notice says a separate panel of male candidates will be prepared, considering shift work and company requirement.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have completed apprenticeship in Diploma in Computer Engineering from FACT Training and Development Centre.
• Completion cut-off: Your apprenticeship must be completed before 1 January 2026.
• Certificates needed: You must upload both the Certificate of Proficiency (COP) and the certificate issued by FACT Training and Development Centre.
• 2026 apprentices: Apprentices who completed or are completing apprenticeship in 2026 need not apply under this notice, because FACT will consider them separately if needed.
• Documents: Your online details and uploaded application form must match, and missing essential PDF documents can lead to rejection.

Age Limit

• You should be above 18 years and less than 35 years as on 1 June 2026.
• SC/ST relaxation: Up to 5 years in the maximum age limit.
• OBC-NCL relaxation: Up to 3 years in the maximum age limit.
• PwBD relaxation: Up to 10 years in the maximum age limit.
• Date of birth proof: FACT will consider the Standard X certificate for date of birth.

Salary

• Consolidated pay is Rs. 25,000 per month.
• You will get a 3% increase after completing each year of engagement.
• Benefits: Leave, ESI, Provident Fund, shift allowance, and TA/DA for duty travel will apply based on eligibility and company rules.
• Tenure: Engagement is for 2 years, renewable for a maximum of 2 spells of 1 year each at the discretion of FACT.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

FACT will use the details and documents submitted with the online application to check eligibility and prepare the panel.

1. Preliminary Scrutiny: FACT will check your online form, prescribed application form, and uploaded documents.
2. Panel Ranking: Eligible applicants will be ranked first by earlier year of passing apprenticeship and then by apprenticeship token number.
3. Document Verification: Original application form and self-attested copies must reach FACT by post, and originals may be checked when required.
4. Medical Examination: Provisionally selected candidates must be found medically fit by the FACT Medical Officer.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending any selection process. Inclusion in the panel does not guarantee engagement, so you should keep checking the FACT Careers page for updates.

How to Apply

2. Fill in the online form and upload the prescribed application form and supporting documents in PDF format.
3. Upload the manually filled and signed application form with photo, along with Class 10 certificate, diploma certificate, COP, FACT T&D apprenticeship certificate, and reservation certificates where applicable.
4. Submit the online form before 28 June 2026.
5. Send the original application form and self-attested copies by Speed Post or Registered Post to AGM (HR) Est, HR Department, FEDO Building, FACT, Udyogamandal, PIN 683 501.
6. The postal envelope should be marked Application for the post of (DPA) - Adv.5/2026.
7. The hard copy must reach FACT on or before 6 July 2026.
