Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) is looking to fill 27 teaching faculty positions on a contractual basis for the Super Specialty departments at ESI Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences and Research (PGIMSR) and ESIC Medical College located at Joka, Kolkata, West Bengal. The recruitment covers three levels of faculty -- Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor -- across multiple super specialty disciplines. Who Can Apply?

For Professor Posts:

• Qualification: DM / MCh / DNB in the concerned Super Specialty subject
• Experience: At least 3 years as Associate Professor in the relevant discipline
• Research: Minimum 4 research publications in indexed journals (at least 2 as Associate Professor, as first or corresponding author)
• Additional: Must have completed basic course in Medical Education Technology and basic course in Biomedical Research

For Associate Professor Posts:

• Qualification: DM / MCh / DNB in the concerned Super Specialty subject
• Experience: At least 4 years as Assistant Professor in the relevant discipline
• Research: Minimum 2 research publications in indexed journals (as first or corresponding author)
• Additional: Must have completed basic course in Medical Education Technology and basic course in Biomedical Research

For Assistant Professor Posts:

• Qualification: DM / MCh / DNB in the concerned Super Specialty subject

All qualifications must be as per National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 69 years on the date of document verification and interview.
• Age relaxation for reserved categories is applicable as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Professor: Rs. 2,60,226 per month (consolidated)
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,73,045 per month (consolidated)
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 1,48,669 per month (consolidated)

These are consolidated salaries on a contractual basis. No separate allowances (DA, HRA, TA) are paid over and above the consolidated amount.

Selection Process

The selection will be done in 2 stages:

1. Document Verification: Your original certificates, experience letters, research publications, and identity proof will be checked.
2. Interview: A Selection Board will conduct the interview. Your academic record, teaching experience, research work, and subject knowledge will be evaluated.

There is no written exam for this recruitment.

6. After document verification, attend the interview conducted by the Selection Board.

• Teach assigned super specialty subjects to postgraduate and undergraduate medical students as per the approved curriculum

• Carry out research work and publish findings in recognised medical journals
• Participate in academic committees, departmental meetings, and institutional governance activities
• Guide and mentor postgraduate students in their dissertations and research projects
• Attend to emergency and outpatient duties as assigned by the institution
