Note: Reservation of PwBD will be as per Government of India prevailing guidelines. Vacancies are provisional and may increase or decrease.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You need an MBBS degree along with a postgraduate qualification (MD/MS or equivalent) in the relevant specialty, meeting the latest NMC norms. For departments like Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry, non-Medical teachers may be appointed to up to 15% of total posts subject to NMC norms.
• Medical Registration: You must have a valid registration with the Karnataka State Medical Council (KMC) or the National Medical Commission (NMC).
• Experience: Teaching and clinical experience as required by NMC norms for the post level you are applying for.
• Retired Candidates: Retirees from Central/State Government or PSUs from equivalent posts are eligible to apply. Persons working in recognized or approved private Medical Institutions who meet the eligibility criteria can also apply.
• NOC: You must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your present employer at the time of walk-in interview if currently in service.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: Less than 69 years (including all categories of relaxation) as on the date of interview.
• Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD and other categories will be as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Professor: Rs. 2,46,006 per month (Consolidated, inclusive of TA and DA on TA)
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,63,589 per month (Consolidated, inclusive of TA and DA on TA)
• Assistant Professor: Rs. 1,40,545 per month (Consolidated, inclusive of TA and DA on TA)
• No separate allowances like DA, NPA, or HRA will be paid. The consolidated amount is as per ESIC Headquarters Consolidated Remuneration Structure for Contractual Faculty.
• No private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.

• All other categories (General, OBC, EWS): Rs. 300
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of ESI Corporation, payable at Kalaburagi, from any scheduled bank. Demand Draft must be issued after the date of this advertisement. Fee once paid will not be refunded.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

There is no written exam for this recruitment. Selection is done through a walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification / Scrutiny: Your application form and original certificates will be checked by the scrutiny committee on the registration day (27 April 2026). Only eligible candidates will be allowed to appear in the interview.
2. Screening Test (if required): If the number of applicants is large, the selection committee may hold a screening test to shortlist candidates before the personal interview.
3. Personal Interview: The final selection is based on your performance in the personal interview conducted by the duly constituted selection board (28 April 2026, 10:30 AM onwards).
4. Medical Examination & Document Verification: Selected candidates must undergo medical examination and produce original certificates before the appointment letter is issued.

50% of total marks is the minimum qualifying criterion for selection. Results will be published at www.esic.gov.in/recruitments.

3. Prepare a Demand Draft of Rs. 300 (if applicable) in favour of ESI Corporation, payable at Kalaburagi.

5. Report to the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Sedam Road, Kalaburagi, Karnataka - 585106 on 27 April 2026 between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM. No candidate will be entertained after 10:30 AM.
6. Appear for the personal interview on 28 April 2026 at 10:30 AM onwards after successful scrutiny of your documents.

• Prepare teaching materials, set question papers, and evaluate examinations as per university guidelines
• Conduct research, publish papers, and attend academic conferences to contribute to the department's research output
• Participate in departmental meetings, hospital committees, and administrative duties assigned by the Dean
• Mark daily attendance on the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS) during scheduled working days
• Wear the prescribed white coat with name badge during all duty hours
