ESIC Kalaburagi Senior Resident Recruitment 2026 — 48 Posts

Employees' State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) Medical College, PGIMSR and Hospital, Kalaburagi has announced a walk-in interview for 48 Senior Resident posts across 19 departments on a contractual basis. These are purely contractual appointments for a maximum period of one year. The interview will be held at the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College, Kalaburagi. There is no written exam — selection is purely through a personal interview.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: PG Degree (MD/MS/DNB) in the concerned subject from a recognized institution.
• Registration: You must have valid registration with Karnataka State Medical Council (KMC) or National Medical Commission (NMC) for both MBBS and PG degrees.
• Not eligible: Candidates who have already completed 3 years as Senior Resident in any Government Institution cannot apply.
• Not eligible: Candidates currently serving a bond under any Government Institution are not eligible.
• OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PWD candidates must carry valid category certificates issued by the competent authority, valid for appointment in Central Government Institutions, before the date of interview — failing which you will be treated as UR (General) candidate.

Age Limit

• You must be below 44 years of age for all categories as on the date of interview (29 April 2026).
• Age relaxation for OBC/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD categories is as per Government of India rules.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 1,40,545 per month plus TA and DA on TA as applicable.
• No other allowances like DA, NPA, or HRA are payable.
• No TA/DA for attending the interview or for joining.
• No private practice is allowed during the tenure of service in ESIC.
• A caution deposit of Rs. 1,40,545 (equal to one month's salary) in the form of a Demand Draft is required at the time of joining — this is refundable after completing the contract period and producing the No Dues Certificate.

Application Fee

• SC / ST / Female candidates: No fee
• All other categories (General/OBC/EWS): Rs. 300/-
• Payment mode: Demand Draft in favour of ESI Corporation payable at Kalaburagi, drawn on any scheduled bank. The DD must be issued after the date of this advertisement.
• Application fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
• Payment by any other mode will not be accepted.

Selection Process

1. Document Scrutiny (27 April 2026): Walk-in registration from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM. No candidate will be entertained after 10:30 AM. Bring original documents and self-attested photocopies.
2. Screening Test (if required): If the number of applicants is large, the selection committee may conduct a screening test. A score of 50% marks is the minimum criteria for selection.
3. Personal Interview (29 April 2026): Interview starts at 9:30 AM onwards at the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College, Kalaburagi. Final selection is based on your performance in the interview.

A waiting list will be prepared and remains valid for 2 months from the date of release of results, subject to approval of the Competent Authority. Results will be published on esic.gov.in/recruitments.

How to Apply

2. Fill in the application form completely before coming for the walk-in.
3. Prepare a Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- in favour of ESI Corporation payable at Kalaburagi (if you are not in SC/ST/Female category).
4. Collect all original certificates along with 1 set of self-attested photocopies and 2 passport size photographs.
5. Report at the Office of the Dean, ESIC Medical College, Kalaburagi on 27 April 2026 between 9:00 AM and 10:30 AM for registration and document scrutiny. No candidate will be entertained after 10:30 AM.
6. Attend the personal interview on 29 April 2026 at 9:30 AM onwards.
7. Produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from your present employer on the day of the walk-in interview.

• Manage clinical duties in the assigned department under the supervision of senior faculty
• Attend ward rounds, outpatient department (OPD), and emergency duties as scheduled
• Assist senior consultants and specialists during procedures, surgeries, and complex cases
• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records, case notes, and investigation reports
• Report patient progress and critical changes to the treating consultant promptly
• Follow ESIC Hospital protocols, infection control guidelines, and departmental SOPs
• Participate in academic activities, case presentations, and departmental meetings
• Wear a white coat with name badge during all duty hours as per hospital regulations
