Who Can Apply?
For Junior Specialist (Allopathy):
- Qualification: A recognized medical qualification included in the First or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualification) of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956
- PG Degree: Post-Graduate Degree in the concerned specialty mentioned in Section 'A' or Section 'B' or Section 'D' as per Schedule VI of Arunachal Pradesh Health Service Rules, 2000 (or equivalent)
- Registration: You must be registered with the Arunachal Pradesh Medical Council (APMC) (including Foreign Medical Graduates/Post-Graduates)
- Experience Waiver: The Government of Arunachal Pradesh has granted one-time relaxation waiving the requirement of 3 years' experience post-PG Degree and 5 years' experience post-PG Diploma
For Junior Dental Specialist:
- Qualification: Medical qualification included in Part-I or Part-III of the Schedule to the Dentist Act, 1948
- PG Degree: Post-Graduate degree in the concerned specialty as per Section 'A' or Section 'B' or Section 'D' of Schedule-VI of Arunachal Pradesh Health Service Rules, 2000 (or equivalent)
- Registration: You must be registered with the Arunachal Pradesh Dental Council (APDC)
Note: Candidates in Government Service must upload a copy of intimation submitted to their Head of Department or NOC issued by the department.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 50 years as on last date of submission of online application form (18 May 2026)
- Age Relaxation for Government Servants: Relaxable by 5 years (i.e., up to 55 years) for serving Government employees of Arunachal Pradesh
- PwBD Candidates: Age concession as per Government rules in force

Selection Process (No Written Exam)
There is no written examination for this recruitment. Selection is done in the following stages:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be shortlisted for interview based on information provided in the online application form
- Viva-Voce / Interview (100 marks): Selection is made through interview only as per Arunachal Pradesh Health Service Rules-2000. You must score a minimum of 50% (i.e., 50 out of 100 marks) to qualify
- Document Verification: Original documents must be produced at the time of interview. Candidates found ineligible during document verification will be rejected and not allowed to appear in the interview
- Medical Test: Conducted by the Appointing Authority (Health & Family Welfare Department) before final appointment
Note: PwBD candidates with 40% or above disability must comply with functional requirements prescribed for the post. Relaxation in qualifying marks for PwBD candidates as per Government notification.

Responsibilities
- Examine, diagnose and treat patients in the assigned specialty department
- Perform specialist medical or dental procedures as per clinical guidelines and protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records including case sheets, treatment plans and investigation reports
- Supervise and guide junior medical staff, interns and postgraduate students where applicable
- Participate in emergency duties and ward rounds as assigned by the hospital administration
- Follow infection control standards, biomedical waste management protocols and hospital safety guidelines
- Assist in capacity building, training and health awareness programmes organised by the department
