National Urban Health Mission (NUHM), Sundargarh, Odisha has released a recruitment notification for various health and administrative posts on a contractual basis. These positions are based in Rourkela, Sundargarh district and will serve urban health centres under the NHM framework. Who Can Apply?

Medical Officer

• You must have passed MBBS or an equivalent degree from a recognised Medical College or Medical Institution.
• Valid medical registration is required.

Data Assistant-cum-Accountant

• You must be a Commerce Graduate with at least 50% marks.
• You must also have a PGDCA / DCA / OS-CIT certificate.

Part-Time Physiotherapist

• You must hold a Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy (B.P.T.) from a recognised university.

Part-Time Nutritionist

• You must have a B.Sc in Home Science or a Post-Graduation in Home Science/Nutrition from a recognised institution.

Junior Hospital Manager

Age Limit

• Maximum age varies by post: 40 years, 45 years, or 70 years depending on the post (check official notification for post-wise details).

Salary

• Medical Officer: Rs. 67,540 per month + Performance Incentive (P.I.)
• Data Assistant-cum-Accountant: Rs. 16,634 per month + Performance Incentive (P.I.)
• Part-Time Physiotherapist: Rs. 750 per session
• Part-Time Nutritionist: Rs. 750 per session
• Additional performance incentives apply as per NHM Odisha norms.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection will be done in the following stages:

1. Mark Assessment: Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic marks and qualifications.
2. Computer Test: Applicable for Data Assistant-cum-Accountant post only.
3. Interview / Viva-Voce: Shortlisted candidates will be called for a face-to-face interview.
4. Document Verification: Original documents will be verified at the time of selection.

• Provide medical consultation and treatment to patients at the Urban Health Centre
• Maintain patient records, prescriptions, and health registers as per NHM protocols

• Handle data entry, accounting, and financial records for the health facility (Data Assistant role)
• Assist patients with physiotherapy exercises and rehabilitation sessions (Physiotherapist role)
• Provide dietary counselling and nutritional guidance to patients and community members (Nutritionist role)
• Coordinate with supervisors, NHM staff, and district health authorities on programme delivery
