Who Can Apply?

For Faculty (Professor / Associate Professor / Assistant Professor):

• You need a postgraduate medical qualification (MD/MS/DNB or the relevant super-specialty degree) in the specialty you are applying for, as per the NMC Medical Institutions (Qualifications of Faculty) Regulations 2025.
• Teaching or research experience recognized by the National Medical Commission (or the relevant statutory body) is required, and you should be ready to submit proof of research papers and publications where applicable.

For Senior Resident:

• You need a postgraduate medical qualification (MD/MS/DNB/DrNB) in the relevant specialty, or the parent broad specialty for super-specialty departments where specialists are not available.
• Fresh postgraduates without additional teaching experience can also apply for Senior Resident posts.

Candidates with experience as Associate Professor/Assistant Professor may also apply for a higher post, but will only be considered if no eligible candidate at that level applies — and if selected, they will be appointed at the lower pay scale.

Age Limit

• Faculty (Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor): up to 69 years, as on the date of your Walk-in Interview.
• Senior Resident: up to 45 years, as on the date of your Walk-in Interview.

Salary

• Professor: Rs. 2,59,515 per month (consolidated), approx. Rs. 2,71,035 total monthly earnings with allowances.
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,72,572 per month (consolidated), approx. Rs. 1,84,092 total monthly earnings.
• Assistant Professor / Senior Resident (1 Yr): Rs. 1,48,263 per month (consolidated), approx. Rs. 1,59,783 total monthly earnings.
• Senior Resident: 7th CPC pay at Level-11, with basic pay Rs. 67,700 plus DA, NPA and HRA as per rules.
• The consolidated remuneration for Faculty already includes NPA@20%, DA@60% and HRA@27%, plus transport allowance. No private practice is allowed during your tenure at ESIC.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is based entirely on your performance in the walk-in interview:

1. Document Verification: Submit original and self-attested copies of your age, qualification, experience, and research/publication proofs on the day of your interview.
2. Walk-in Interview: Conducted before the Selection Board at ESIC Medical College, Sanathnagar, Hyderabad.

Results are displayed on the ESIC website. Selected candidates must join immediately after receiving the offer of appointment — no extension of joining time is allowed.
