Post-wise Duties

Senior Resident

You will run outpatient and inpatient care in your specialty department, supervise junior doctors and interns, and support the teaching and academic work expected of a postgraduate faculty-track post at a medical college.

Junior Resident

You will handle day-to-day ward duties, assist consultants and senior residents during rounds and procedures, and manage patient care under supervision.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Senior Resident tenure: Contractual for one year initially, extendable annually up to a maximum of three years subject to a satisfactory appraisal from the concerned Head of Department.
• Junior Resident tenure: Contractual for one year initially.
• No TA/DA: LJRGMC will not pay travel or daily allowance for attending the interview.
• Post count: The college reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts in any department as per need.
• Prior tenure: If you have already served as SR or JR at another institute, you must bring a No Objection Certificate from that institute.

Application Submission Notes

There is no online form for this drive — you simply walk in with your documents. The interview is held every day during August, September and October 2026, from 10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, at the Office of the Principal, Base Hospital Pithoragarh, Uttarakhand. Registration on the day of the interview closes at 1:00 PM, so arrive well before the cut-off.
