350 Para Legal Volunteer positions are up for grabs in Gondia district, Maharashtra. The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Gondia is looking for dedicated individuals to serve as Vidhi Swayamsevak (Legal Volunteers) under the NALSA Para Legal Volunteer Scheme.   • No application fee is required -- making it completely free to apply
  • Minimum qualification is just 10th pass, so a wide range of candidates can participate
  • Teachers, MSW students, Anganwadi workers, law students (not enrolled as advocates), NGO members, self-help group workers, and retired professionals from medical, military, and police backgrounds are all eligible
  • Honorarium-based role -- volunteers receive payment as per the NALSA scheme based on work assigned
  • Apply for only ONE taluka -- submitting multiple applications will lead to automatic rejection

Selection is purely through interview. There is no written exam for this recruitment. DLSA Gondia will shortlist candidates from the applications received and call them for an in-person interview. Your social work experience, educational background, and willingness to work at the grassroots level will be key factors.

  • Aadhaar Card -- mandatory for identity verification
  • 10th standard marksheet and certificate -- to prove minimum educational qualification
  • Higher education certificates -- if you hold any degree beyond 10th, carry all marksheets
  • Passport-size photograph -- to be attached with the application form
  • Experience certificates -- especially if you have previous Para Legal Volunteer or social work experience
  • Mobile number and email ID -- for communication purposes

Responsibilities

  • Assist citizens in understanding their legal rights and connecting them with free legal aid services
  • Help people approach the District Legal Services Authority for legal assistance
  • Spread awareness about legal aid schemes, Lok Adalats, and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms
  • Support the functioning of Legal Aid Clinics at taluka and village level
  • Identify eligible beneficiaries for free legal services in your assigned taluka area
  • Coordinate between the community and the legal services institutions for smoother access to justice

Minimum Qualification

10th Standard Pass (SSC or equivalent from any recognized board)

Preferred Qualification

MSW degree, Law degree (not enrolled as advocate), Teaching qualification, Social work experience
