Educational Qualification
- 12th Pass: You must have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
- Health Training: You must have passed the Female Health Worker basic training course recognised by the Government; or passed the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) course recognised by the Government and registered with the Nursing Council.
- Computer Knowledge: You need basic computer application knowledge as required under Gujarat Civil Services rules.
- Language: You need adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.
- Gender Condition: This advertisement is for women candidates only.
Age Limit
- You should be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years old as on 20 May 2026.
- Women candidates: Relaxation is available as per Gujarat Government rules, but the relaxed upper age must not cross 45 years.
- PwD women candidates: Age relaxation is available as per rules for benchmark disability categories mentioned in the notification.
- Ex-servicemen women: Service-based relaxation is available, subject to the overall 45 years upper age ceiling.
Salary
- Selected workers will get fixed pay of Rs. 26,000 per month for the first 5 years.
- After satisfactory service, appointment to the regular pay scale will be considered as per Gujarat Government rules.

Selection Process
The GPSSB Female Health Worker selection will be based on a competitive written examination followed by document checking and merit-based allotment.

Responsibilities
- Handle maternal and child health field visits in the assigned panchayat area
- Keep antenatal, postnatal, vaccination and family health records updated
- Work with PHC, sub-centre and district health teams for public health services
- Follow immunisation schedules and support health awareness drives
- Assist pregnant women, newborns and families with basic health guidance
- Monitor high-risk mothers and report urgent cases to the medical team
- Prepare monthly reports and maintain registers as required by the department

Exam Pattern
The GPSSB Female Health Worker exam is an objective MCQ test conducted through CBRT or OMR mode. The total paper carries 200 marks and the duration is 3 hours.
- General Awareness and General Knowledge: 35 marks
- Gujarati Grammar: 20 marks
- English Language and Grammar: 20 marks
- General Mathematics, Reasoning and Data Interpretation: 25 marks
- Job and Technical Knowledge: 100 marks
- Negative Marking: 0.25 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer
- Minimum Standard: GPSSB will set the qualifying standard, but it will not be below 40 percent for any category
