Gujarat Panchayat Service Selection Board (GPSSB) has issued Advertisement No. 08/2026-27 for direct recruitment of Female Health Worker Class-III posts. The recruitment is for women candidates only and the vacancies are spread across district panchayats in Gujarat. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• 12th Pass: You must have passed Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination or an equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
• Health Training: You must have passed the Female Health Worker basic training course recognised by the Government; or passed the Auxiliary Nurse Midwife (ANM) course recognised by the Government and registered with the Nursing Council.
• Computer Knowledge: You need basic computer application knowledge as required under Gujarat Civil Services rules.
• Language: You need adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi, or both.
• Gender Condition: This advertisement is for women candidates only.

Age Limit

• You should be at least 18 years old and not more than 40 years old as on 20 May 2026.
• Women candidates: Relaxation is available as per Gujarat Government rules, but the relaxed upper age must not cross 45 years.
• PwD women candidates: Age relaxation is available as per rules for benchmark disability categories mentioned in the notification.
• Ex-servicemen women: Service-based relaxation is available, subject to the overall 45 years upper age ceiling.

Salary

• Selected workers will get fixed pay of Rs. 26,000 per month for the first 5 years.
• After satisfactory service, appointment to the regular pay scale will be considered as per Gujarat Government rules.
• Other benefits will follow the applicable state government instructions for this Class-III cadre.

Application Fee

• General category: Rs. 100 plus service charge through SBI e-pay.
• SC / ST / SEBC / EWS / Ex-servicemen / PwD: No application fee.
• Payment mode: Online through Debit Card, UPI, Internet Banking, NEFT or Credit Card.
• General category candidates who confirm the form but miss the regular fee window may need to pay a Rs. 500 process fee at the board office during the notified period.

Selection Process

The GPSSB Female Health Worker selection will be based on a competitive written examination followed by document checking and merit-based allotment.

1. Written Exam: Objective MCQ test through CBRT or OMR mode.
2. Merit List: GPSSB will prepare the provisional merit list based on exam marks and applicable rules for reservation, widow bonus marks and sports bonus marks.
3. Document Verification: Shortlisted applicants must show original qualification, training, caste, PwD, ex-servicemen and other certificates when asked.
4. Final Selection: District allotment and final recommendation will be issued after certificate verification.
