DIAT MT Supervisor Recruitment 2026

Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune is holding a walk-in interview for 1 Part Time MT Supervisor post in the MT Section. The engagement is on a contract basis for an initial period of one year. Ex-servicemen with clerical and supervisory experience in a Motor Transport Section can attend the walk-in interview. DIAT MT Supervisor Recruitment 2026 - 1 Post

Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT) is a deemed university in Pune funded by the Department of Defence Research and Development under the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. This recruitment is for a Part Time MT Supervisor to support transport-related supervision and coordination work at DIAT. The notification is best suited for ex-servicemen, preferably JCOs, and also allows Havildar-rank NCOs with Motor Transport Section experience.

The selected person will work with the Motor Transport Section, where vehicle availability, driver deployment, statutory records and transport support for events need regular monitoring. DIAT has mentioned that the selected person should be ready to join immediately after receiving the offer letter. This engagement will not give any automatic right to regular absorption in DIAT (DU), Pune.

Who Can Apply?

• Service background: You should be an ex-serviceman with adequate clerical and supervisory level experience in managing a Motor Transport Section.
• Preferred rank: DIAT prefers a JCO for this post.
• Also allowed: An NCO of Havildar rank with experience in dealing with the Motor Transport Section can also apply.
• Experience focus: Your experience should relate to vehicle deployment, maintenance coordination, driver duty rosters, log books, fuel use, statutory vehicle records, and transport support for official events.
• Document readiness: You should be able to bring original certificates, testimonials, pension documents, PPO and self-attested copies to the walk-in interview.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: Not more than 62 years.
• Age reference date: Age will be counted as on 22 June 2026, the date of the walk-in interview.
• Experience reference date: DIAT will count age, experience and qualification details as on the walk-in interview date.

Salary

• The selected person will get a consolidated pay of Rs. 30,000 per month.
• The notification does not mention any separate allowances for this contract engagement.
• The engagement is initially for one year, so you should check the contract terms carefully before joining.

Selection Process

The selection is mainly through the walk-in interview at DIAT, Pune. DIAT has also stated that it may conduct a written test or skill test wherever it feels necessary.
