CSL Female Hostel Warden Recruitment 2026: Overview

Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL), a Miniratna shipbuilding company under the Government of India, is hiring a Female Hostel Superintendent / Warden on contract for its Marine Engineering Training Institute (METI) in Kochi. METI trains marine engineers, and this post looks after the institute's ladies' hostel and mess. The notice (Ref. No. CSL/P&A/RECTT/CONTRACT/METI/2025/12, dated 14 September 2026) is open to Indian citizens only.

This role suits two kinds of people. The first is someone who has already worked as a warden in a ladies' hostel. The second is a person with long service in the Indian Armed Forces or a Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) such as the BSF, CRPF, CISF, ITBP, SSB, NSG or Assam Rifles. Knowledge of counselling and a good command of English and Hindi will help your application stand out.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The contract is for one year at first. CSL may renew it depending on its needs and your performance.
• Round-the-clock duty: The job involves round-the-clock duties and giving physical training to trainees, so CSL has not marked this post as suitable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).
• Pay rises: The consolidated pay goes up each year after the first year of the contract.
• Experience counts only after your qualification: Only experience gained after you passed the required diploma or degree is counted, worked out as on 1 October 2026.
• Equivalent qualifications: If your qualification is only equivalent to the one asked for, you must upload an Equivalency Certificate from the competent authority, or your application will not be considered.
• Ex-servicemen and retired CAPF staff: Keep your Discharge Certificate, Discharge Book or Pension Payment Order ready, along with certificates showing your experience.
• Reservation: Government of India rules on reservation apply. The single post is shown under the unreserved (UR) category.
• Medical fitness: Shortlisted candidates must pass a medical check at a hospital named by CSL before joining.
• Rank list: CSL keeps a rank list valid for up to 18 months and may use it to fill future vacancies in the same post.
• No travel allowance: You will not get TA/DA for attending the selection process in Kochi.
• Smartphone policy: The selected candidate must give an undertaking to follow CSL's policy on using smartphones at the workplace.
• Legal disputes: Any case about this recruitment can be filed only in courts at Ernakulam.
