Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: The initial engagement lasts three years. An extension of up to two more years depends on the company's needs and your performance, so continued service is conditional.
• Work location: Although the notice is for CSL, Kochi, you may serve in other CSL units or project sites. The company can transfer you between units when project needs change.
• Wider service obligation: The appointment includes work in company departments, on board ships and at sites or projects anywhere in India or abroad. Keep this mobility condition in mind when considering the role.
• Duty schedule: You must be ready for general duties as well as shift duties, including rotational shifts. The notice makes this part of the nursing assignment.
• No continuing appointment promise: This engagement is for a defined contract period. CSL does not promise another appointment during the contract or after it ends.
• Travel expenses: CSL will not pay travel or daily allowances for attending recruitment assessments. You will need to arrange and cover your own travel.
• Provisional candidature: Taking part in recruitment or receiving a call letter does not guarantee appointment. Incorrect information or hidden facts can lead to cancellation, including after appointment.
• Rank-list validity: The list may remain valid for up to 18 months from the last advised candidate's reporting date, or until a fresh notice for the same post. CSL may use it for later openings with approval.
• Company discretion: CSL can change or cancel the recruitment, or leave the post unfilled. Appointments depend on suitable applicants, available projects and actual work requirements.
• Workplace phone policy: If selected, you must give an undertaking to follow CSL's rules on smartphone use at work.
• Previous employment: CSL will not take responsibility for salary, leave salary, gratuity or pension contributions connected with your earlier government or public-sector employment.
• Official communication: Call letters will not arrive by post. Watch your email and CSL's careers updates for instructions, and use your application registration number in correspondence.
• Disputes: Legal proceedings connected with this notice or recruitment fall under the courts, tribunals or forums at Ernakulam.
