Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU), Kanpur — formerly Kanpur University — is filling Non-Teaching positions across its Self-Finance Scheme (SFS) schools, covering IT, engineering, administrative and healthcare support roles. The drive spans the School of Engineering and Technology, School of Health Sciences, School of Hotel Management and School of Business Management, and brings in specialists for server administration, AI development, data entry and campus establishment work. All posts are on a three-year contract under the Self-Finance Scheme, and candidates who meet the eligibility for more than one post must apply — and pay the fee — separately for each.

Posts and Disciplines

• Senior Server Administrator (School of Engineering & Technology): manages data centre operations, cloud infrastructure, Active Directory, virtualization and IT support systems.
• Junior Server Administrator (School of Engineering & Technology): supports Windows/Linux server administration, Active Directory and virtualization under the senior team.
• Technical Assistant (Mechanical Engineering): assists with CAD software and CNC programming work in the mechanical engineering labs.
• Data Entry Operator (spread across Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Application, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Vocational Studies, Health Sciences and Business Management): handles day-to-day data entry and MS Office work across seven departments.
• Junior Establishment Officer (School of Hotel Management and School of Health Sciences): manages office administration and establishment matters for the two schools.
• AI Developer / AI Implementation Coder (Computer Sciences and Engineering, UIET): builds AI tools and automation for university projects and research initiatives.
• Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Coordinator (School of Health Sciences): coordinates clinical and supervisory physiotherapy work in the department.

Post-wise Duties

Senior and Junior Server Administrator

You will manage the university's servers, storage and firewall systems, keep the Active Directory and virtualization platforms running, and handle day-to-day IT support and infrastructure monitoring.

Technical Assistant

You will support mechanical engineering lab work, prepare CAD drawings, and help run CNC programming tasks.

Data Entry Operator

You will enter and maintain departmental records, prepare documents in MS Office, and coordinate meeting schedules for your assigned department.

Junior Establishment Officer

You will handle office correspondence, staff records and day-to-day establishment matters for your school.

AI Developer / AI Implementation Coder

You will build and deploy AI and automation tools for university projects, work with Python-based AI frameworks, and support research initiatives across departments.

Physiotherapy Rehabilitation Coordinator

You will run the physiotherapy department's clinical and rehabilitation programmes and supervise the treatment team.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract term: Every post is on a three-year contract, but the engagement cannot continue beyond the candidate turning 60.
• Multiple posts: If you apply for more than one position, you must submit a separate application and pay the fee separately for each.
• Reservation: Reservation for all posts follows U.P. State Government norms.
• Caste/income certificate: SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates must attach a hard copy of their caste/income certificate on the prescribed U.P. Government format.
• NOC: Candidates already in employment must submit a No Objection Certificate with the application or at the interview.
• No TA/DA is paid for attending the interview, and no claim for regular appointment or regularisation will be entertained at any stage.
