Track 2 - M.E./M.Tech or Ph.D. holders:

• Along with at least 2 years of R&D experience in industrial/academic institutions or science & technology organisations

Either way, you should have experience in air pollution dispersion modelling, emission inventory or source apportionment, plus sound knowledge of data analysis tools like R, Python, ML and AI. As with all CSIR-NEERI project posts, only candidates who already hold their final qualification and result (at least a provisional certificate) can apply — final-semester or result-awaited candidates are not eligible to apply or appear for the interview.

Selection Process

CSIR-NEERI will select candidates through a single stage:

1. Online Interview: Conducted via MS Teams, Skype, or a similar platform. The interview date will be announced separately on neeri.res.in.

This is a purely temporary, project-based position, co-terminus with the project — it carries no right to regularization against a permanent CSIR post, and the total tenure on CSIR project positions cannot exceed six or seven years as per CSIR's engagement guidelines. A few more terms to note: either side can end the engagement with one month's notice (or one month's pay in lieu), you will need to make your own accommodation arrangements near the Delhi Regional Centre (HRA is paid to help with this), and a review committee will assess your performance before recommending any extension, subject to project funds being available.
