Chittaranjan National Cancer Institute (CNCI) is an autonomous cancer research and treatment institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. The institute has released Advertisement No. N-026/2026 to fill 1 post of Consultant (Haemato-Oncology) at its New Town Campus in Kolkata on a one-year contract, extendable with an annual increment based on your performance. There is no written exam for this post — eligible candidates are called straight to a walk-in interview. This role suits experienced haematology specialists looking for a senior clinical position at a leading government cancer institute.

CNCI runs two campuses in Kolkata — its main Campus-I on S.P. Mukherjee Road and the newer Campus-II in Action Area 1D, New Town, where this Consultant post is based. As one of India’s premier government cancer treatment and research centres, CNCI handles a large volume of haemato-oncology cases every year, which means you will get hands-on exposure to a wide range of blood cancer and blood disorder cases. Who Can Apply?

• Option 1: DNB/DM in Haematology, Clinical Haematology or Haemato-Pathology, with at least 2 years of experience after your DNB/DM.
• Option 2: DNB/MD in Pathology or General Medicine, with at least 5 years of exclusive experience in Haematology after your DNB/MD.

Age Limit

• You should not be older than 40 years to apply for this post.

Salary

• Selected candidates will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 2,00,000 per month for this contractual position.
