Chacha Nehru Bal Chikitsalaya (CNBC), Geeta Colony, Delhi, has released a recruitment notice for 19 Junior Resident (Adhoc) posts. The selection is done through a written test held in the hospital's Conference Hall, followed by an interview of the shortlisted candidates. No separate call letter will be sent — you must report directly on the test date with your documents. MBBS doctors who have finished internship can apply.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an MBBS degree from a recognised university and have completed your internship.
• Registration: You can appear for the test if you have registration with the respective State Medical Council or NMC, or have applied for Delhi Medical Council (DMC) registration. If selected, you must submit the DMC registration at the time of joining.
• Post Graduate doctors may be allowed to join as Junior Residents only if fresh MBBS graduates are not available. Junior Residents who have already completed one year of junior residency may reappear only if no fresh candidates are available.

Age Limit

• Upper age limit: 40 years (as per GNCTD circular dated 10 June 2011).
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST, OBC, and Physically Handicapped candidates get relaxation as per rules.

Salary

• Basic pay: Rs. 56,100 per month (Level 10, Cell 1 of the 7th Pay Commission).
• Plus usual allowances as admissible under the rules.
• No TA/DA is paid for attending the written test or interview.

Selection Process

Selection is done in two stages:

1. Written Test: Held on 29 May 2026 at 10:00 AM in the Conference Hall, CNBC, Geeta Colony, Delhi. Report by 9:30 AM and not later than 10:00 AM.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates appear for an interview on 3 June 2026 at 10:00 AM with all original documents.

How to Apply

1. Fill in the CNBC application form for the Junior Resident post.
2. Attach self-attested copies of your degree, mark sheets, and internship completion certificate.
3. Report at CNBC, Geeta Colony, Delhi-110031 on the written test date with all original documents and Aadhaar Card.
4. Carry one passport size photograph and self-attested photocopies of all certificates.
5. No separate call letter will be sent — check the CNBC notice board and website for updates.

Note: Junior Residents are appointed on adhoc basis for 44 days, extendable by 44 days each time up to a maximum of 1 year, or until a regular candidate joins, whichever is earlier.

• Handle inpatient and outpatient care of children in the assigned ward
• Assist senior doctors during rounds, procedures, and emergencies
• Monitor patient health and maintain accurate medical records
• Work in shifts, including night duty and on-call duty as needed
• Follow all hospital policies and treatment protocols
• Explain treatment plans to patients' families
• Support the paediatric team in daily clinical work
