The Office of the Civil Surgeon cum Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Jamtara has announced Advertisement No. 02/2026-27 for the recruitment of 2 MBBS Doctors. These posts are under the Mother Teresa Swasthya Clinic scheme, which provides primary healthcare services to people living in urban slum areas of Jamtara district. This is a contractual appointment and does not lead to any permanent or regular government posting. MBBS graduates registered with the Medical Council of India should attend the walk-in interview.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: You must have an MBBS degree from any institution recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI). You also need to be registered with MCI or the State Medical Council.
• Medical Fitness: You need a medical fitness certificate from the Civil Surgeon. Based on the fitness certificate, you can serve up to the age of 70 years. The fitness certificate is valid for one year at a time.
• Important: Doctors selected through this process will not have any claim to regular or permanent appointment. This is purely a contractual engagement.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 67 years (through the Civil Surgeon's recommendation).
• Service can be extended up to 70 years based on medical fitness certificate from the Civil Surgeon.
• Medical fitness certificate is valid for one year and needs renewal.

Salary

• You will receive a consolidated honorarium of Rs. 36,400 per month (calculated as Rs. 1,400 per day for 26 working days).
• Working hours are 4 hours per shift (from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM).
• Note: This is a contractual payment and does not include regular government allowances like DA, HRA, etc.
