The Office of the Civil Surgeon-cum-Chief Medical Officer, Jamtara, under the Department of Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare, Government of Jharkhand, has released Advertisement No. 02/2026-27. Educational Qualification

• MBBS degree from any institution recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI)
• You must have a valid registration with the relevant State Medical Council

Other Requirements

• Candidates already listed (empanelled) by the Civil Surgeon's office can also attend
• Doctors on the panel cannot claim the post as a regular/permanent appointment — no such claim will be accepted

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 67 years (as mediated through the Civil Surgeon's office)
• Based on a Medical Fitness Certificate, service can continue up to 70 years
• The Medical Fitness Certificate is valid for 1 year at a time

Salary

• Monthly salary: Rs. 36,400/-
• Calculated as Rs. 1,400 per day x 26 working days
• This is a contractual payment — no additional government allowances have been mentioned

• Work for 4 hours per day (either 9 AM to 1 PM or 1 PM to 5 PM shift)
• Assist in immunisation drives, health awareness campaigns, and other public health activities in the district
• Monitor and report communicable disease cases as per government norms
