Who Can Apply?

Group A — Teaching Posts

• Professor: Ph.D. in relevant discipline + 10 years of teaching experience + minimum 10 research publications in peer-reviewed/UGC-listed journals + research score of 110/120 as per UGC Regulations 2018.
• Principal: Ph.D. degree + 15 years of teaching/research experience as Professor/Associate Professor + 10 research publications + research score of 110.
• Associate Professor: Ph.D. in relevant discipline + Master's degree with 55% marks + 8 years of teaching/research experience + 7 publications + research score of 75.
• Assistant Professor: Master's degree with 55% marks in the relevant subject from a recognized university. Must have cleared NET/SLET/SET (Ph.D. holders may be exempt as per UGC norms).
• University Librarian: Master's in Library Science/Information Science with 55% marks + 10 years as Librarian/teaching + Ph.D. in Library Science + evidence of innovative library service.
• College Librarian: Master's in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation Science with 55% marks + good academic record + knowledge of computerization of library.

Group B — Non-Teaching Posts

• Personal Assistant: Bachelor's degree + 5 years as Senior Scale Stenographer or 7 years in Stenography/Computer typing with 40 WPM English typing + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Superintendent (Grade-II): Bachelor's degree + 2 years as Superintendent and 8 years as Senior Assistant in Punjab Govt./Universities + computer knowledge + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Programmer (IT): M.Sc. (IT)/MCA/B.Tech (CSE) or equivalent First Class + 3 years programming experience in University/Govt. + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Senior Assistant: Bachelor's degree + 120-hour computer course from recognized institution + 5 years as Clerk in Punjab Govt. + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Technical Assistant (IT): B.E./B.Tech in IT/Electronics/Computer Science with 50% marks or Master's in Computer Applications with 2 years experience + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Junior Engineer (Civil): 3-year Diploma in Civil Engineering + 5 years of experience in Punjab Govt./Universities + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Sports Coach: Graduate + 1-year Diploma in Sports Coaching from SAI/NSNIS + 2 years coaching experience + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Physical Fitness Trainer: Bachelor's in Sports and Exercise Science/Sports Coaching/Physical Education + 1-year Diploma in Health Fitness + 2 years fitness experience + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Yoga Trainer: Graduate with 55% marks + PG Diploma in Yoga + Yoga Teacher Certificate from Ministry of Ayush + 2 years practical experience + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Accountant/Accounts Assistant: B.Com from a recognized university or degree with ICWA/CA (Inter)/CS (Inter) + 3 years accounts experience + Punjabi at Matric level.

Group C Posts

• Senior Technician (Sports): M.Sc. in relevant Science subjects with 55% marks + 2 years experience in Sports Laboratory + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Clerk: Bachelor's degree + 120-hour computer course (or O level certificate from DOEACC) + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Lab Attendant (Sports): 10+2 preferably in Science + Diploma in Laboratory Technology/Sports Science/Physical Education + experience in sports labs + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Field Attendant (Sports): Diploma in Sports Coaching/Physical Education/Sports Management + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Hostel Warden: Graduation preferably in Home Science/Hotel Management + 1 year experience in Housekeeping or as hostel warden + Punjabi at Matric level.
• Storekeeper: Bachelor's degree + 120-hour computer course + Punjabi at Matric level.

Age Limit

• Teaching Posts (College Teachers): Maximum 45 years for General category.
• Non-Teaching Posts (Group B & C): Minimum 18 years and maximum 37 years as on 1 January 2026.
• Age Relaxation for SC/ST/BC/PwD: Up to 5 years relaxation.
• Ex-Servicemen: Relaxation equal to the period of service in Armed Forces.
• Women (widow/divorced/separated): Relaxation up to 10 years.
• Government servants: Relaxation equal to the period of actual service rendered.
• MBSPSU contractual/ad hoc staff: May get relaxation in upper age limit.

Salary

• Professor / University Librarian: Rs. 1,44,200 per month (7th CPC Pay Matrix)
• Principal: Rs. 1,31,400 per month (at Guru Nanak Govt. College) / Rs. 1,44,200 per month (at Prof. Gursewak Singh College)
• Associate Professor: Rs. 1,31,400 per month
• Assistant Professor / College Librarian: Rs. 57,700 per month
• Programmer (IT): Rs. 47,600 per month
• Personal Assistant / Superintendent / Senior Assistant / Technical Assistant / Junior Engineer / Sports Coach / Physical Fitness Trainer / Yoga Trainer / Accounts Assistant / Office Superintendent / Accountant Assistant: Rs. 35,400 per month
• Senior Technician (Sports): Rs. 29,200 per month
• Clerk / Lab Attendant / Field Attendant / Hostel Warden / Storekeeper: Rs. 19,900 per month
• All posts also carry DA, HRA, and other allowances as per Punjab Government rules.

Application Fee

• General category: Rs. 2,000 (including GST)
• SC/ST/BC/EWS/ESM/PwD: Rs. 1,500 (including GST)

Selection Process

1. Punjabi Language Qualifying Test — Mandatory for Group C posts. You must score at least 50% marks in this Punjabi test. Only those who pass this test will move to the next stage.
2. Screening of Applications — Your application will be checked for eligibility and completeness. Incomplete applications will be rejected.
3. Competitive Test — For certain posts like Programmer and Technical Assistant, you will be shortlisted through a competitive test. Only shortlisted candidates proceed to the interview.
4. Interview — Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Your eligibility alone does not guarantee a call for interview.
5. Document Verification — You will need to submit all original documents for verification. A No Objection Certificate (NOC) is required if you are currently employed.

6. Take 4 printouts of your submitted online application form.
