The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda (MSU Baroda) is recruiting for Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor permanent teaching positions. The official online application deadline has been extended from 15 May 2026 to 31 May 2026 through Corrigendum 4. Candidates must apply online through the MSU recruitment portal. Corrigendum 5 also updates the Architecture qualification rules.

Official Corrigendum Changes

• Last date extended: Corrigendum 4 states that the last date for online applications for Notification Nos. ADE 1/10 to ADE 1/16 of 2025-2026, earlier 15-5-2026, is now 31-5-2026.
• Polytechnic post naming: Corrigendum 1 states that Polytechnic Associate Professor positions are to be read as Head of Department (Associate Professor Cadre) positions.
• Posts put on hold: Corrigendum 2 states that the Polytechnic Head of Department (Associate Professor Cadre) positions are put on hold for the current Notification No. ADE 1/10 of 2025-2026.
• Selection criteria added: Corrigendum 3 adds Annexure D for Associate Professor/Professor direct recruitment evaluation under Gujarat Public Universities Uniform Statutes, 2024: Academic background - 20 marks, Research/API/publications - 40 marks, Domain knowledge and teaching skills - 20 marks, and Interview performance - 20 marks.
• Architecture qualifications revised: Corrigendum 5 updates Architecture qualifications for Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor posts.

Architecture Qualification Update

• Assistant Professor: B.Arch. or equivalent with minimum 60% marks and 3 years of relevant professional experience; or B.Arch. or equivalent plus Master's degree in Architecture/allied subjects with minimum 60% marks at either level and 1 year of relevant professional experience.
• Associate Professor: B.Arch. or equivalent plus Master's degree in Architecture/allied subjects with minimum 60% marks at either level, and either 8 years of teaching/research/professional work including at least 3 years full-time teaching experience, or 13 years of professional experience.
• Professor: B.Arch. or equivalent plus Master's degree in Architecture/allied subjects with minimum 60% marks at either level, and either 14 years of teaching/research/professional work including at least 5 years full-time teaching experience, or 19 years of professional experience. Ph.D. in Architecture is desirable.

• Deliver lectures, conduct tutorials, and guide laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the assigned department
• Prepare course material, question papers, and evaluation methods as per university curriculum and UGC standards
• Conduct research, publish papers in peer-reviewed journals, and contribute to the academic growth of the department
• Supervise M.Phil. and Ph.D. students and guide them through their research work
• Assist in administrative duties such as examination work, admission processes, and committee responsibilities as assigned by the university
• Participate in faculty development programmes, workshops, seminars, and conferences to stay updated in the field
• Manage departmental resources, laboratories, and equipment, and contribute to procurement and maintenance planning
• Follow the code of conduct and service rules prescribed by MSU Baroda and the Government of Gujarat
