Salary

  • Clerk: Pay Level-2 — Rs 19,900 to Rs 63,200 per month (7th CPC Pay Matrix)
  • Steno-Typist: Pay Level-3 — Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100 per month (7th CPC Pay Matrix)

In addition to the basic pay, you will get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Transport Allowance, and other benefits as per Central Government rules. Your total monthly take-home pay as a fresher Clerk would be approximately Rs 33,000-36,000 including all allowances.

Selection Process

No interview will be conducted. Selection is purely based on merit in the written test. The typing/stenography test is qualifying only (no marks/weightage).

  1. Written Examination (OMR Based) — Two papers of 100 marks each, total 200 marks. Each question carries 1 mark. No negative marking. Medium of exam is English. You need at least 40% marks (40 out of 100) in each paper to qualify.
    • Paper 1 (Morning Session: 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon) — 100 marks
      • English (up to 12th level) — 40 marks
      • General Knowledge — 40 marks
      • Computer Proficiency — 20 marks
    • Paper 2 (Evening Session: 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM) — 100 marks
      • Mathematics (up to 10th level) — 40 marks
      • Statistics (up to 10th level) — 30 marks
      • Aptitude — Reasoning, Verbal & Non-verbal — 30 marks
  2. Typing Test on Computer (for Clerks only)35 WPM in English for 10 minutes. This is a qualifying test only — no marks or weightage. Shortlisted candidates (up to 20 times the number of vacancies) will be called.
  3. Stenography Test (for Steno-Typists only) — Dictation at 80 WPM for 10 minutes, followed by Transcription in 50 minutes on computer in English. This is a qualifying test only.
  4. Document Verification — After the final result, original documents will be checked including educational certificates, caste/category certificates, age proof, and ICT/CCC certificate.
