Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released Advertisement No. 09-Exam/2026 on 10 April 2026, inviting online applications for 170 posts in the UP Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Bhavan). This recruitment fills positions of Vidhan Bhavan Rakshak (Security Guard) and Vidhan Bhavan Agnik/Agnirakshak (Fireman/Fire Guard) under the Sachivalaya Prashasan Vibhag. Only candidates who appeared in UPSSSC PET-2025 and hold a valid Score Card are eligible to apply — the PET normalized score is used for shortlisting candidates to the main exam. Who Can Apply?

Essential Qualification

• Education: You must have passed 12th class (Intermediate) from Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, or any equivalent Government-recognised board.
• PET Score Card: You must have appeared in UPSSSC PET-2025 and hold a valid Score Card. Candidates with zero or negative normalized scores will not be shortlisted.
• Domicile: You must be a domicile of Uttar Pradesh.

Preferred Qualification (Bonus Marks)

• Minimum 2 years of service in Pradeshik Sena (Territorial Army), OR
• Holder of NCC 'B' Certificate

Age Limit

• You should be between 18 and 40 years old as on 01 July 2026.
• SC/ST (UP domicile): Upper age relaxation of 5 years (up to 45 years)
• OBC (UP domicile): Upper age relaxation of 3 years (up to 43 years)
• PwD (Divyang): Age relaxation as per UP Government rules
• Ex-Servicemen: Age relaxation as per UP Government rules

Salary

• Both posts are at Pay Level-3 under the 7th Pay Commission.
• Starting basic pay: Rs. 21,700 per month
• Maximum basic pay: Rs. 69,100 per month
• Plus DA, HRA, TA and other allowances as per UP State Government rules.

Physical Standards

Physical measurement is a qualifying test — you must meet these standards to be considered for the final merit list.

For Male Candidates

• Height (General/OBC/SC): Minimum 168 cm
• Height (ST): Minimum 160 cm
• Chest — expanded (General/OBC/SC): Minimum 84 cm (with minimum 5 cm expansion required)
• Chest — expanded (ST): Minimum 82 cm

For Female Candidates

• Height (General/OBC/SC): Minimum 152 cm
• Height (ST): Minimum 147 cm
• Weight: 45 to 58 kg

Selection Process

Selection is done in the following stages:

1. PET-2025 Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on the Normalized Score of UPSSSC PET-2025. Only shortlisted candidates are called for the Main Exam.
2. Written Main Exam: 100 questions for 100 marks in 2 hours. Objective (MCQ) type. Negative marking of 0.25 marks per wrong answer. Exam covers General Intelligence, Computer Knowledge, and General Knowledge about Uttar Pradesh.
3. Physical Measurement Test (PMT): Qualifying in nature. You must meet the height and chest/weight standards given above.
4. Final Merit List: Based on Written Main Exam score.

3. Login using your PET-2025 Registration Number and OTP sent to your registered mobile number or email.

• Monitor access to the assembly complex and check credentials of visitors
• Patrol assigned areas inside and outside the Vidhan Bhavan building
• Assist in crowd management and VIP security during assembly sessions
• Maintain duty registers and report incidents to supervising officers
• Follow all security protocols and standard operating procedures of the Secretariat
