These posts are for running 2 Chalant Gram Clinic (mobile clinic) teams in remote tribal (Primitive Tribal Group) villages of Dhanbad district. The clinic operates from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM as per a touring roster. Jharkhand domicile candidates will get preference as per the Jharkhand Local Person policy dated 05.02.2021.

Who Can Apply?

For AYUSH Medical Officer (Rs. 21,000/month):

  • Qualification: Bachelor in Ayurveda / Homoeopathy / Unani from a recognised university or institution
  • Computer Skills: Working knowledge of computer is required

For Medical Assistant (Rs. 15,000/month):

  • Qualification: Any one of the following from a recognised university or institution:
    • B.Sc Nursing or GNM
    • B.Sc Community Health
    • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Pharmacy

Other Requirements (Both Posts):

  • You must produce a valid Motorbike Registration and Driving Licence
  • Jharkhand domicile candidates get preference as per Jharkhand Local Person Policy
  • Candidates must furnish a health certificate from any Civil Surgeon and an affidavit confirming no criminal conviction at the time of joining
  • Final decision on appointment rests with the District Civil Surgeon

Age Limit

  • Minimum age: 21 years
  • Maximum age (as on 01 May 2021) by category:
  • General: 35 years (PwD: 40 years)
  • Backward Class (BC) / Extremely Backward Class (EBC): 37 years (PwD: 42 years)
  • SC / ST: 40 years (PwD: 45 years)
  • Women - General, BC and EBC: 38 years (PwD: 43 years)

Salary

  • AYUSH Medical Officer: Rs. 21,000 per month (consolidated)
  • Medical Assistant: Rs. 15,000 per month (consolidated)
  • Transport Allowance: Each clinic team also gets Rs. 5,000 per month for fuel and transport. No other payment will be made.
  • Contract is for 1 year and can be extended yearly based on Annual Performance Appraisal.

Selection Process

Selection is done through:

  1. Walk-in Interview: Eligible candidates must report on the scheduled date with the application form and all original certificates plus self-attested copies.
  2. Document Verification: Verification of certificates will be carried out in the next 3 months at the issuing institute. If any document is found to be incorrect, the contract will be terminated with immediate legal action.
  3. Final Merit: Final merit list will be approved by the District Selection Committee, Dhanbad, and published on the Civil Surgeon Office and Dhanbad district website.

You must remain present at every stage of the selection process; otherwise your candidature will be cancelled.

Responsibilities

  • Provide primary healthcare services (OPD, family planning, antenatal and postnatal care) through the mobile village clinic
  • Conduct anaemia, blood pressure and diabetes screening for villagers in Primitive Tribal Group areas
  • Collect sputum and blood smear samples for TB and malaria detection
  • Treat kala-azar and other vector-borne diseases at the clinic
  • Operate the Chalant Gram Clinic from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM as per the touring roster
  • Set up the clinic in government buildings such as Anganwadi centres, community halls or schools
  • Maintain patient records, daily case registers and report to the District Civil Surgeon
  • Coordinate with the Anganwadi staff and local PRI bodies to publicise clinic visits

Minimum Qualification

Bachelor in Ayurveda/Homoeopathy/Unani (for AYUSH MO); B.Sc Nursing or GNM or B.Sc Community Health or Bachelor/Diploma in Pharmacy (for Medical Assistant)
