Commissionerate of Higher Education (CHE), Gandhinagar has announced the second attempt of the Centralized Adhyapak Sahayak Recruitment for Physically Disabled candidates. Out of the original 216 NOC-issued posts, 80 were filled in the first attempt, and the remaining 136 posts are now open across 26 subjects in Arts, Commerce, Science, Home Science, Education (B.Ed.), and Law colleges. All disability categories (A, B, C, D and E) can apply for positions in non-government Grant-in-Aid colleges across Gujarat.

• Category D & E (ASD, SLD, MI, Multiple Disabilities): 59 posts

Who Can Apply?

For Arts, Commerce, Home Science, Journalism and Law Colleges:

• Qualification: You need a Master's degree with at least 50% marks (after 5% PH relaxation) in a relevant subject from a recognised university.
• NET/SET Requirement: You must have cleared UGC NET, CSIR NET, or Gujarat SLET/SET.
• Ph.D. Exemption: If you hold a Ph.D. awarded as per UGC Regulations 2009 or 2016, you are exempted from the NET/SET requirement.

For Education (B.Ed.) Colleges:

• Master's degree in a concerned subject with minimum 50% marks (after PH relaxation).
• M.Ed. degree with at least 50% marks.
• Must have cleared NET in Education conducted by UGC/CSIR, or SLET/SET.
• Ph.D. holders as per UGC Regulations are exempted from NET/SLET.

Other Requirements:

• Citizenship: You must be a citizen of India.
• Disability: You must have a disability of 40% or more with a valid UDID card (yellow or blue).
• Language: Written, spoken and reading knowledge of Gujarati is required.
• Only degrees from universities recognised by UGC and established by law are accepted.
• All qualifications and certificates must be acquired before the last date of application (25 March 2026).

Salary

• During the first 5 years (probation), you will receive a fixed salary of Rs. 52,000 per month.
• After completing 5 years with satisfactory performance, you will be absorbed into the regular pay scale of the Government of Gujarat as applicable to Assistant Professors.
• Regular pay scale is as per UGC and Gujarat Government norms with DA, HRA and other allowances.

Selection Process (No Written Exam)

Selection is purely based on academic merit and interview. There is no written examination.

1. Merit Calculation (100 marks total): Your academic record is scored out of 100 marks based on graduation marks (max 21), post-graduation marks (max 25), M.Phil (max 7), Ph.D. (25 marks), NET/JRF/SET score (max 10), research publications (max 6), teaching experience (max 10), and awards (max 3).
2. Document Verification: Candidates with merit marks of 45 or above will be called for document verification. You need to bring originals and self-attested copies of all documents.
3. Interview: Subject-wise and disability category-wise interviews will be conducted. For 1 vacancy, 6 candidates are called; for 2 vacancies, 8 candidates; for 3 vacancies, 10 candidates; for 4 or more, 3 candidates per post.

In the first phase, only candidates matching the specific disability category of the vacancy will be interviewed. In the second phase, remaining vacancies will be open to all disability categories.

2. Click on "New Candidate Registration" and create your account.
3. Select your subject and disability category (A, B, C, D or E) during registration.
4. Fill in the online application form with your personal and academic details.
5. Upload your passport-size photograph (under 150KB, JPG/JPEG/PNG format) and signature (under 150KB).
6. Upload all required documents in PDF format.
7. Pay the application fee of Rs. 500 online.
8. Submit the application and take a printout for your records.

Once the fee is paid, you cannot edit your application. Make sure all details are correct before payment.
