CGG Team Leader Health Sector Recruitment 2026: Overview

Centre for Good Governance (CGG), Hyderabad, is looking for a Team Leader to guide a health-sector project built around programme verification, assessment and evidence-based reporting. This is a senior, project-linked consulting assignment rather than a regular government appointment, and it brings together work in public health, health systems, policy, programme management and independent assessment. The central feature of the role is end-to-end technical leadership: you will connect project planning, field evidence, analytical review and stakeholder decisions instead of handling only one workstream. It suits a senior professional who is comfortable moving between strategy discussions, team supervision, report review and coordination with government and development partners.

Your work will sit at the meeting point of public programmes and independent verification, where the quality of methods matters as much as timely delivery. The assignment covers the design of verification approaches, sampling and analytical frameworks, field assessments, consultations, data interpretation and technical documentation. You will be expected to turn evidence into clear recommendations and make sure that findings are consistent across project milestones. Because the project involves several specialisms, your ability to explain technical issues to mixed audiences and keep different teams aligned will be especially important.

Service Conditions and Caveats

  • Project tenure: the engagement is purely contractual and co-terminus with the health-sector project; it does not create a claim to a regular CGG position.
  • Project commencement: CGG is recruiting in anticipation of the project starting, so the notice itself is not a commitment that an appointment will necessarily be made.
  • Base and travel: the ordinary posting is Hyderabad, while the assignment may involve extensive travel within Telangana and outside the state for assessments, consultations and coordination.
  • Leadership scope: you may guide a multidisciplinary group covering public health, hospital management, monitoring, data analysis, field verification and policy research.
  • Quality ownership: final technical review, validation and approval of project reports and deliverables form part of the role, so accountability extends beyond preparing drafts.
  • Flexible screening: CGG may alter its screening method according to the response and may shortlist applicants by the relevance and depth of their professional background.
  • Comparable expertise: the selection committee may consider an exceptional record on assignments of similar complexity even where the exact named academic discipline differs, subject to approval by the competent authority.
  • Position availability: CGG may change the number of positions or cancel the exercise; applying does not guarantee that you will be called for an interview.
  • Professional conduct: recommendations, canvassing or any attempt to influence the process can lead to disqualification at any stage.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the assignment's strategy, planning and technical oversight
  • Coordinate verification work across project milestones and teams
  • Guide multidisciplinary specialists and keep deliverables on schedule
  • Review evidence, reports and technical outputs for quality and consistency
  • Engage government departments, development partners and key stakeholders
  • Approve final reports and project deliverables after technical validation
  • Develop clear recommendations from field findings and programme data
