C-DAC Multi-Post Recruitment 2026: Overview

Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) is building project teams at its Chennai centre for software, infrastructure, data, cyber-security and advanced-computing work under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Post-wise Duties

Project Associate

You will help design and maintain applications, electronic systems, databases and servers. Your work can include troubleshooting, performance improvement, quality checks and clear technical writing.

Project Engineer

You will turn user requirements into working software or infrastructure solutions, coordinate a small technical team and help evaluate secure, practical designs. Some assignments may focus on automated testing and validation for post-quantum cryptography software.

Senior Project Engineer

You will own complex engineering tasks, give technical direction and work with users and delivery teams. The role expects you to combine hands-on implementation with technical leadership across the chosen specialisation.

Project Manager

You will lead project execution and may oversee security evaluation, hardware test laboratories, benchmarking and certification support. You will also mentor engineers and keep technical work aligned with the programme objective.

Service Conditions and Caveats

• Contract tenure: the initial engagement is for up to two years or until the project ends, whichever comes first. An extension depends on your performance and the continuing project need.
• No automatic continuation: selection does not create a right to regular employment, continuation or automatic extension.
• Transfer liability: the posts are project-based and transferable; C-DAC may move you between projects or locations anywhere in India.
• Experience check: only relevant work gained after the qualifying degree is counted. Academic projects, internships, trainee work and part-time assignments normally do not count unless the notice specifically accepts them.
• Attendance cost: you must meet your own travel expenses for the interview, and shortlisted candidates should be ready for the pre-employment medical check.
