BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI) is a research institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. It has released recruitment notice THS/RN/11/2026 to fill one Project Research Scientist-I post on a project basis. This is a walk-in interview — there is no online form, so you attend directly at the institute with your documents. This post is a strong opportunity for life science postgraduates who want hands-on vaccine research experience at a leading biotech institute in the National Capital Region.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Post-Graduate degree, including an integrated PG degree, in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university.
• Skills needed: Working knowledge of recombinant DNA technology such as cloning, in vitro transcription, heterologous protein expression and purification, western blotting, mammalian cell culture, mouse handling and experimentation, ELISA and FACS.
• Project: You will work under Dr. Milan Surjit on developing and testing a recombinant Hepatitis E vaccine in a non-human primate (Macaque) challenge model.

Age Limit

• Your age should not be more than 35 years as on the date of the walk-in interview (8 July 2026).
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, and up to 5 years for Central Government employees.
• PwBD: 10 years for UR, 13 years for OBC and 15 years for SC/ST candidates with benchmark disabilities.
• Ex-servicemen: relaxation equal to defence service rendered plus 3 years.

Salary

• You will get a consolidated salary of Rs. 56,000 per month plus House Rent Allowance (HRA).
• This is a short-term project position and the pay is fixed (consolidated) as per THSTI project norms. Extension depends on the tenure of the project.

Selection Process

Selection is done through a walk-in interview:

1. Walk-in Interview: Attend on 8 July 2026 at 9:00 am at THSTI, Faridabad. Candidates reaching after the time slot will not be allowed.
2. Document Verification: Your original certificates are checked at the venue before the interview.

If many candidates turn up, THSTI may screen applicants based on higher or more relevant qualification and experience. The date of interview is the crucial date for deciding your eligibility.
