BRIC-Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (BRIC-THSTI), an autonomous institute of the Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC) under the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, has issued Rolling Recruitment Notice THS/RN/01/2026/05-I for a Project Associate-I post under the INCENTIVE Influenza vaccine project, led by Principal Investigator Dr. Amit Awasthi. This is a walk-in interview position — no online application is required. The role is short-term contractual and tied to the project tenure.

Who Can Apply?

• Qualification: Master's degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university, OR B.E./B.Tech in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognised university
• Skills: Basic knowledge of immunology, cell culture and animal handling
• Preferred Experience: Hands-on work with cell culture, molecular biology assays and immunological techniques such as Flow Cytometry (staining and sample analysis) and ELISA
• The experience requirement is counted after attaining the minimum qualification.

Age Limit

• Maximum age: 35 years as on the date of walk-in interview (2 June 2026)
• Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD (UR), 13 years for PwBD (OBC), 15 years for PwBD (SC/ST)
• 5 years for Central Government servants; up to length of defence service + 3 years for Ex-Servicemen (min 6 months attested service)
• Institute employees get age relaxation to the extent of service rendered

Salary

• Rs. 31,000 + HRA per month for candidates selected through CSIR-UGC NET (including lectureship), GATE, or any national-level examination conducted by a Central Department or its agencies
• Rs. 25,000 + HRA per month for candidates who do not fall under the above category

Selection Process

Selection is through a walk-in process:

1. Written Test / Skill Test: Held at THSTI Faridabad on the walk-in date
2. Interview: Held the same day for shortlisted candidates
3. Document Verification: Originals checked at the venue

If a large number of candidates appear, screening will be done to limit the number to those with higher / more relevant qualification and experience. Candidates arriving after the time slot will not be entertained.

• Handle cell culture, molecular biology assays and immunological techniques for the INCENTIVE Influenza vaccine project
• Perform Flow Cytometry staining and analysis of biological samples
• Run ELISA experiments and other immunoassays as per protocol
• Maintain accurate laboratory records, sample inventories and experimental notebooks
• Assist senior researchers with study design, data analysis and reporting
• Follow GLP and biosafety guidelines for animal handling and lab work
• Support troubleshooting and method development for immunology assays
