The High Court of Judicature at Bombay, Original Side, has released a notice to fill 2 posts of Safai Kamgar (Sweeper) in its establishment in Mumbai. Both posts are in the Open category. This is an isolated post with no future promotion, so you should note this before applying. Maharashtra domicile holders who have experience in cleaning work can apply by post.

Who Can Apply?

• Nationality: You must be a citizen of India.
• Qualification: You must have passed at least the 7th standard from a recognised board.
• Language: You must be able to read, write, and speak Marathi and Hindi.
• Experience: You should have enough experience in cleaning toilets and bathrooms, sweeping, and keeping office premises clean.
• Domicile: You must be a domicile of Maharashtra.

Age Limit

• Open category: 18 to 38 years
• Backward classes: 18 to 43 years
• Court or government employees: minimum 18 years (no maximum age limit)
• Age is counted as on the date the advertisement is published.

Salary

• You will be paid in Pay Level S-3: Rs. 16,600 to Rs. 52,400 per month.
• You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA) and other allowances as per Maharashtra Government rules.

Application Fee

• All categories: Rs. 1,000
• The fee must be paid by Demand Draft drawn in favour of "BOMBAY HIGH COURT ORIGINAL SIDE".
• The fee is non-refundable. Applications without the fee will not be considered.

Selection Process

After the applications are checked, shortlisted candidates will go through three stages worth a total of 50 marks:

1. Practical Test (30 marks): You must score at least 15 marks to qualify. If you fail this test, you cannot move to the next stages.
2. Physical Ability Test (10 marks)
3. Personal Interview (10 marks)

You must attend the practical test, physical test, and interview at your own cost. The schedule will be published on the official Bombay High Court website.

How to Apply

1. Fill the application in the prescribed format given in Appendix 'A' of the notification.
2. Attach self-attested copies of all required documents (see below) along with the Demand Draft.
3. Write "Application for Sweeper (Safai Kamgar) post" on the envelope.
4. Send the complete application only by Speed Post so it reaches by 11 July 2026 to: Hon'ble Registrar, Original Side, High Court, Mumbai, Pay & Establishment Department, 2nd Floor, P.W.D. Building, Fort, Mumbai-400032.

Applications sent by any mode other than Speed Post, or received after the last date, will not be considered.
