Bank of India has released Notification No. 2026-27/01 (dated 1 June 2026) for 779 Credit Officer posts in the General Banking Operations stream. These are experienced-professional posts spread across Middle Management (MMGS-II, MMGS-III) and Senior Management (SMGS-IV) grades. 475 of the 779 vacancies are unfilled posts carried forward from the earlier 2025-26/01 recruitment. Who Can Apply?

Educational Qualification

• You must be a graduate in any discipline with 60% marks (55% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD).
• You also need a professional qualification such as MBA/PGDBM/2-year full-time Master's degree, or CA/CFA/CMA (ICWA) from a recognised institute.

Work Experience

• MMGS-II: Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in credit-related roles.
• MMGS-III: Higher post-qualification credit experience as per the notification.
• SMGS-IV: Minimum 8 years post-qualification experience in credit-related roles.

Age Limit

• MMGS-II: 25 to 32 years
• MMGS-III: 28 to 38 years
• SMGS-IV: 32 to 45 years
• Age Relaxation: SC/ST — 5 years, OBC (non-creamy layer) — 3 years, PwBD — 10 years, Ex-Servicemen — 5 years, and persons affected by the 1984 riots — 5 years.

Salary

• Selected candidates get pay as per the applicable officer scale (MMGS-II / MMGS-III / SMGS-IV) under the current bank pay structure.
• You will also get Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), Special Allowance, medical benefits and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) as per bank rules.

Selection Process

The selection is done in two stages:

1. Online Examination: Two sections — English Language (25 marks, qualifying only) and Professional Knowledge relevant to the post (100 marks). Total 125 marks in 120 minutes with 0.25 negative marking for each wrong answer.
2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates are called for a personal interview.

If both stages are held, the final merit list is prepared with 70% weightage to the online exam and 30% to the interview.

• Support the branch in achieving credit growth and business targets
