Boxing Federation of India (BFI) Support Staff Recruitment 2026

Boxing Federation of India (BFI), the National Sports Federation for Boxing recognised by the Department of Sports under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India, is looking for qualified professionals to join its high-performance support team. The recruitment covers medical, scientific, analytical and administrative roles to work with Indian National Boxers training at National Coaching Camps for Elite (Senior) Boxers. These are contractual positions for one year, extendable based on quarterly performance review. Selected staff will be posted anywhere in India and may also travel with the team for international tournaments and championships.

Who Can Apply?

Sports Physician / Team Doctor

• Essential: Government-recognised MBBS with valid registration for practising in India
• Essential: PG in Sports Medicine -- MD (Sports Medicine) or PGDSM with valid registration
• Experience should be sports-specific, preferably with national teams at the elite level

Strength & Conditioning Expert

• Essential: Master's Degree in Sports & Exercise Science from a recognised university
• Bachelor's Degree holders can be considered if they have additional certifications from recognised boards
• Minimum 5 years of sports-specific experience preferred
• Must have experience with physiological monitoring and scientific measurement equipment

Sports Physiotherapist

• Essential: BPT qualification from a recognised university or institute
• Desirable: UGC-recognised PG in Sports Physiotherapy (MPT Sports), or MPT (Ortho & Sports Combined PG)
• Experience should be sports-specific (Boxing preferred), at the elite level with national teams

Sports Masseur / Masseuse

• Essential: 10th/12th pass from a recognised board
• Essential: Certified Sports Massage Course from a recognised university or institute
• Desirable: SAI NIS Sports Massage Skill Development Course, Ayurvedic massage experience

Sports Psychologist

• Essential: PG in Sports Psychology -- MA/MSc (Sports Psychology) or MA/MSc in Clinical/Counselling/Development Psychology from a recognised university
• Minimum 5 years experience with sports-specific experience preferred

Sports Nutritionist

• Essential: PG in Nutrition or Dietetics from a recognised university or institute
• Minimum 5 years experience with sports-specific experience preferred

Physiologist

• Essential: MBBS or Master's in Medical Physiology, Human Physiology, or Sports & Exercise Physiology
• Must have worked on physiological monitoring systems
• Minimum 5 years sports-specific experience preferred

Video Analyst

• Essential: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university
• Minimum 5 years sports-specific experience preferred
• Proficiency in video analysis software and video editing tools required
• Knowledge of sports biomechanics and data visualisation

Administrative Coordinator

• Essential: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university
• Preferred: MBA or Degree in Sports Management
• Must be proficient with computer systems, internet and data management
• Experience in sports administration and organising national/international events
• Preference for candidates with 10+ years of experience in sports activities

Administrative Assistant

• Essential: Graduate in any discipline from a recognised university
• Must be proficient with computer systems, internet and data management
• Experience in organising national and international sporting events
• Preference for candidates with 5+ years of experience in sports activities

Development Manager

• Essential: Graduate in any discipline + Degree in Sports Management from a recognised university
• Proficient with MS Office, internet and data management
• Experience in sports analytics, planning and procedure creation
• Preference for candidates with 5+ years of experience in sports-related activities

Online or distance learning qualifications are not accepted as a substitute for the prescribed qualifications for any post.

Salary

• Suitable remuneration will be paid as per SAI (Sports Authority of India) norms
• Higher salary may be allowed in truly deserving cases based on qualification and prior experience
• The Empanelment Committee will submit its recommendations on remuneration and tenure to DG (SAI) for approval

Selection Process

Selection will be done as per SAI guidelines:

1. Scrutiny of Applications/CVs: BFI's Search Committee will review all applications and shortlist candidates based on eligibility and experience
2. Interview / Assessment: Shortlisted candidates will appear before the SAI Empanelment Committee for interview and evaluation. The committee will rank candidates in an Order of Merit
3. Document Verification: Selected candidates will need to submit self-attested copies of all credentials

The shortlisting ratio will be at least 1:3 (3 candidates per vacancy). Final selection is based on the Order of Merit prepared by the Empanelment Committee.

• Provide specialised support to Indian National Boxers at National Coaching Camps for Elite (Senior) Boxers
• Conduct assessments, monitoring and testing as per the requirements of each support role
• Work closely with the coaching staff, team doctor, and other support personnel for athlete welfare
• Travel with the Indian Boxing team for international tournaments, championships and exposure programmes
• Prepare regular reports and submit them to the BFI Medical Commission, Performance Director and BFI HQ
• Follow SAI guidelines and protocols for all professional activities
• Assist in injury prevention, rehabilitation and performance optimisation of athletes
